I think she only played a year or 3 before she was able to run over pretty much any female and a lotta the males too.

She was amazing. So composed, relaxed, played great. Managed her action, game like she had been playing 20 years. Forget her gender, man/woman don’t matter as a person she was just amazing under the heat.

I’d had never seen her before that night and haven’t since. Who ever brought her up in pool has my respect as well as her. Stone cold natural, proper frame of mind, when she missed or made a mistake she just turned the page and kept her focus 100%. Most of us could learn a few lessons out of her book.

She was just chomping away on her gum and playing great 1P for $30k/reck. It was impossible to know if she was paying for $100 or $30k. That really impressed me. It was clear she was focused. But not overly focused, was relaxed as could be, fluid, composed. In a good mood, steady, consistent. Couldn’t get a read on her like a great poker player.

Everything in one package for being a top $ player or tourney player for that matter.

It’s very rare I pass out complements like this, but she impressed me that much. A day or 2 later I spoke to her for 1 minute. I just said “well played”. I’m not sure who won. I think she needed up ahead a little. Even if she didn’t she was one cool customer. JRB of course is used to huge action and he was handling his game very well as well.

I watched the first 2-3 hours with Phil Windham (can’t spell his name right) he’s a room owner-great guy. Was a fun night at Derby 2019 as I recall

In one pocket, yes, but not at nine ball. She was something of a giant killer in WPBA play but was rarely one of the ones seen in the business end of the events.

Remember years back when people were trying to drum up action for OMGWTF, and POVPool ended up streaming her match with Jenny Lee? Would be cool to get something done like that, with a couple ladies playing 1P.

Wish I’d have thought of this earlier, as the ladies are all about to be in Vegas this week, and it would have been easier for the people with connections to make things happen

At this point, she had been playing for 20 years;) She is a through and through player.
 
Did Lori Shampo play 1 pocket? She would play for any amount of money, and could woof with the best of them.

Seems to me pressure - or reacting to it is a waste of time. My amateur take on that is just fade it. Get gooder as possible and simply play gooder. Be the winner. Nuthin' to it...
