WORLD 10 BALL CHAMPIONSHIP (28March-1April2022), Las Vegas, Winner $60K

People are still playing on the side tables so they won't know. They need to have clocks on the side tables it's taking way too long.
And a way of informing people waiting online (the bracket has not always been current; and how long will the players' break be after those matches?).

It sure looks like it's gonna be Kaci and Shaw in the final. Must admit, I've never heard of Chris Tevez, who is not among the Top 100 based on Fargo. That said, given who he has beaten, including Alcaide (803), Biado (815), Morra (788) and Jungo (776), he must be quite the player. The last time a player I'd never heard of won a sanctioned WPA sanctioned World Championship was in 2003 when Thorsten Hohmann won the World 9-ball.
Tevez was among the last unbeaten players at the DCC this year this year if my memory serves me right.

Oi has been grinding out a comeback against Kaci over a marathon 2 and half hours at this point. Trails 9-8. Looks like Kaci is hooked. If Oi wins this rack, he breaks the next one.

2022 Derby City 9-ball

Rd 1 Cristopher Tevez beat Rocky Moody
Rd 2 Cristopher Tevez beat Dru Cammarata
Rd 3 Cristopher Tevez beat Billy Ussery
Rd 4 Cristopher Tevez beat Kenney Nguyen
Rd 5 Cristopher Tevez lost to Ralf Souquet
Rd 6 Cristopher Tevez beat Mitchell Maynard
Rd 7 Cristopher Tevez beat Carlo Biado
Rd 8 Cristopher Tevez beat James Davee
Rd 9 Cristopher Tevez lost to Mario He

That's a top 20 finish in a field of over 400, so pretty good.

Save a great semi and final, the Kaci v Oi match is probably the hilight of the tournament for me. This is great 10 ball - just wish Kaci would hurry up.

I'll set the line at 5 minutes for him to run these out

There's really no reason for a race to 10 to take three hours.

I'm sorry, but Kaci should consider himself fortunate. He accidentally safed Oi twice, and then ran into a number of balls during that out, narrowly avoided a scratch, but still got out.

Anyway, he won so it doesn't matter. Heartbreaker for Oi. But after a marathon 3 hours, I don't see how you aren't completely fried at this point or at least at a bit of a disadvantage in your next match.

I'd guess Shaw looks like the guy to beat at the moment - but there have been no shortage of upsets.

Szewczyck figures to be drained as well, having won double hill over Edgie Geronimo after trailing 9-6.

Thankfully, all remaining matches will be on the shot clock. The event is now three hours behind schedule.

The worst part about this tournament is the absurd number of breaks they take.
Assuming we are talking about the same thing, the nice thing about matchroom is they have two sessions and you know that you can sit down for 4-6 hour sessions of pool. But for this tournament (and the pro billiard series), they finish the first match and there is an hour wait (or more) until the next one. I often go and do something else and forget to come back.
