WORLD 10 BALL CHAMPIONSHIP (6-10 Sep 2021), Las Vegas, 9ft, Winner $35K

It's odd that you're only seeing the hater posts and not the super-fan posts.

I can summarize them for you: "Shane works his ass off on the 10-ball break, and the new Predator rack negates that (not sure how, but it does)". "Alternate break format sucks." "Pockets are too big."

If I missed those posts in relation to SVB about the rack, pockets, etc., my bad. The best our country has to offer by a wide margin. Seems like we should all be superfans...

I haven't had a single issue with the brackets updating or the stream on YouTube, the other stream sucks and freezes every 10 minutes though

The way Yapp played versus Shaw, he could beat anyone.

Yapp beat Shaw who beat Kaci (in stage 1) who beat Yapp (stage 1)
It is too hard to call between Yapp and Kaci - they are both steadier with better all round game than Chua and Oi. The winner of Yapp-Kaci will win this whole thing and Kaci has the slight edge
Interestingly, all 4 semifinalists were from Losers side in Stage 1. Usually someone from Winners side would do very well and appear in semi.
But gap between these 4 is small so a lot depends on their form today , who wake up on right side of bed and who has a good hair day :ROFLMAO:

With Omar out, it looks like its between Oi and Yapp on the hair front.

Does anyone other than Biado ever call obvious 10 balls?

LOL. He must be "scarred" because of his bad experience in semifinal of a Manny Pacquiao event some years ago.
That event had silly rule of calling 10 ball even if it is super obvious.
It was hill hill, Biado potted the 10 inches from centre pocket and he did not call it. He was penalised and lost the match.
There was a monkey literally jumping around in joy after that and that monkey was his disgraceful opponent, Pupul

I think it was mentioned that the cloth is Predator cloth and not Simonis right?

I think the rack used was throwing off a lot of the big guns. However I only got glimpses of the final 32. Was it the big bulky looking rack too?

if that happened to me I’d start calling balls in 9 ball just to be safe.

Sounds like 10 ball in the USA. I just watched two events with the same players entered. In one event 10 ball on the break counted. In the other event 10 ball on the break didn't count and 10 ball on break, combination or billiard did not count. 10 ball spotted back up.

They need to standardize the rules. It's as bad as 8 ball.

He must've missed my posts, calling him Shane Van Choking and saying he needs to pull himself together or he's in trouble.

There are plenty of people who route for Shane who don't go overboard making excuses. Although it's funny that the opposite isn't true.. There are many posters here who just look to rip on him any chance they can get, which DOES lead to a lot of people defending him. That being said, he did not look himself in that last match, and if it's true about him going off in the casinos that would explain it. Lose a bunch of money and see where your focus is.

Jaden

Joshua Filler
Carlo Biado
Albin Ouschan
Dennis Orcullo
Shane Van Boening
Fedor Gorst
Jung-Lin Chang
Jayson Shaw

If just 1 of the above players were in the final four, I'd say this was an OK tournament.
Maybe I am just out of touch with all these new fangled formats.

Just 1. :(
Kaci has a higher Fargorate than Biado or Ouschan.

The dry breaks that plauged Oi last night against Biado continue in the set against Chua. Gonna be tough road for Oi if he can't capitalize on the break.

Impossible to win breaking dry. He needs to change where he's breaking from.

I think what has impressed me most about Oi this week is how much better he's been at staying down after shooting. Not as much body movement.
