Thanks for posting the beautiful poster.

Is there a website where one can view the player roster? I was hoping to ascertain what countries are represented in the world pool championship for juniors. As you might guess, I am interested in which Americans! :D

Thanks in advance!

Wow, that is great to see names I am familiar with competing in this event. Bravo to the organizers.

As far as robots go, my little sugar mouse, let me just say that I hope to enjoy future matches by our international brethren that will in some way help to promote pocket billiards and attract interest from the mainstream American audience. There is a reason why pool is not shown live on American TV. How to effect a change for the better is multi-faceted, but the current status quo of pre-televised events, as it pertains to professional pool for men, tell the story better than I could ever describe it. :o

As Dutch Youth Coach I will post some thing about Marc Bijsterbosch.

0922_p001.jpg

Marc Bijsterbosch is 13 years and by far the youngest player at the WPC youth this year. This talent played his first European Championship Youth at the age of 10 and has now played in 3. This year he won a brons medal with the pupils teams with his 14 year old teammeats Jelle Kijlstra and Ivar Saris.

Marc is a talented boy but has still a long way to go. The Dutch youth has now 6 talents below 16 years that are competing very hard to be the best in the Netherlands.

AZB and the World Juniors in Germany

Just to let you know, AZBilliards.com will be in Willingen for the Juniors and we will be posting daily reports on the tournament along with photos. We will also be taking video for AZBtv that will be posted after we return to the States and edit it and convert it to flash for your viewing. We find it important to shine a spotlight on the future of the game.

Bravo to AzBilliards and AZBtv for stepping up to the plate. Too bad the BCA couldn't have invested a little more effort in this area.

I have always said AzBilliards is the best pool website on the Internet, bar none, and now they have raised the bar of excellence.

In fact, this type of media is EXACTLY what pool needs to elevate the sport and create an awareness of competition at this level. Hopefully, things are starting to make a change for the better, thanks to AzBilliards.

AMEN

someone has to start covering the youth tournaments, and respect for az for doing so!!

im rooting for the 2007 european youth champion, stephen sharky lammens. He has been in amazing form since this summer, winning 2 national man events (not youth), winning the european titel and i'm sure his youthcamp sponsered by the european board will only improve his talent!!

i think he is one of the topfavorits, but i'm not objective :p

greats, sugamouse !! :D

Let me guess Berry ... LOL from the looks of his hair, Thomas Engert is one of his idols, right? ....

Landon Shuffett was 13 about 5 months ago. In the States there are 2 divisions, one for 14 and under and the other consists of players 15 to 19. The World Championship is one division for 19 and under.

Yeah! That is what I am talking about!

That, and the fact that Planet-Pool is well represented too!!

First of all GREAT that AZ Billiards is at the venue in Willingen and reporting!!
(watch out it is going to be cold and the skilifts are around the corner).
The hotel is great and so is the food!

@ Landon's Mom. Good to hear there are more very young talents playing at the WPC Youth. Here we have a division till 16 and from 16 till 18. Marc has won the Dutch titel in the division till 16 at age 13 and 5 day's.

Now that it was suggested, Marc looks a bit like Thomas but I think Niels Feijen is the player he realy looks up to.

Berry
