World Cup of Pool set for LIVE US airing on ESPN

My Direct TV does not offer ESPN-3. Am I out of luck or is there an alternate way?
It is accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

ESPN3 Is their streaming page i think.

Yep, you're correct....but the only folks watching it will be pool fans, wish they could have found room on ESPN so it pops up in bars across the country

But on the other hand, many of us will be able to watch this from work :)

Well it is a start if it has enough viewers maybe
it will open the way for more pool on ESPN 3
it would be great to see the Mosconi Cup the US Open
or any other events on that network.

Awesome. This is the next step in getting pool back on TV. Well having an organized tour probably would be the most beneficial thing but...

Its good that Matchroom and ESPN are working together. Hope we get more of their events in the future on ESPN.

I have the WatchESPN app on my TV, but no cable subscription. You can't watch the live streams without the cable subscription, but they often replay events within a few hours of the live broadcast - that's how I watched some of the World Cup games. I hope they do the same with these.

GREAT! BUT it's such a shame to see the old links.
Challenge of Champions.(Mohegan Sun) on REGULAR ESPN!!!!
Wtf?

I just got off the phone after a very aggravating half hour with Time-Warner. They informed me that my service does not include ESPN so I can't get the streaming app to work on my phone, nor can I access it on the Internet. But... for the amazingly low price of only $64.95/month they can upgrade my account so I can watch it.

Guess I won't be watching any of this great event. Sure hope they put some of the matches up on You Tube.

They are live on ESPN3 via the WatchESPN app without requiring a cable subscription.

For the first time I've seen, the app has a section under Sports for Billiards. I'm seeing all of the World Cup of Pool days as well as last year's Mosconi Cup under replays.

First upset of the tournament,

France took down 16th seed Italy, 7 games to 4. That kid Alex Monpelier
is a force to be reckon with in the future, he's got nerves of steel...

I was watching it on my laptop via ESPN3, but then I found it on Sky Sports 3 so I'm watching it on television now. I have a streaming box which allows me to pick up channels from all over the world.
