You ARE worth every quarter that you're asking for, and, frankly, you should consider to threaten to BOYCOTT this event. Without you being there to add some luster and historical significance, Accu-Stats and ESPN will also follow suit and BOYCOTT this event.
If "The One" were really interested in having you compete, he would have had you staring on a Youtube Video by now. It's not every day that the 1959, 1961 & 1968 National 2 Ball Champion offers to enhance a tournament filled with mere wanna-be's.
I heard from a friend of somebody who knew somebody who said they heard that someone saw a guy that looked like Jay Helfert say that you wouldn't show up even if all your demands WERE met! And believe me, I wouldn't tell you any half truths unless they were completely accurate!
So if I were you, I would start my own tour. And I would have it based more on a DCC style of 3 disciplines. Why not have the World Lagging Championship, The World Chalking Championship as well as the World Table Brushing Championship? In the event of a tie, you can have a Ring Game Table Leveling Championship. And if that STILL doesn't settle things, you can have a World Meucci Cue-straightening Championship!

They were going to have a furniture raffle but a cold wave came through and I had to burn all the furniture for heat.
A cruise ship full of Miss World beauty contestants came by a couple months ago and they wanted me to join them because they said they were lonely for male companionship but I turned them down because I didn't want to disappoint my fans on azbilliards who are pulling for me to win this tournament. I'm beginning to think I should have gone with them.
