So just to stick my toe into the water I've decided to hold my first Riley Promotions event.....The World LAG Championships!

Round robin, best of 1 match ups. One player lags first and then opponent tries to beat it, lag for break of course! :p

The event will be held on Easter Island, the most remote island on earth to ensure:

a) All players have to travel and play on a neutral venue
b) All players will be jet lag-ged! :p

This will be a truly open event

I have not received an invitation to this event and just for that I'm starting my own "behind the back only" tournament and you're not invited.
 
I am interested in participating in the World Lag Championship, usually referred to as the WLC, as long as jump cues are disallowed.

As a former North West of Ireland Laggist Champion, I have to say that I am in, although Easter Island is going to feel like Christmas Island to me when you guys see my high level of prowess in the lagfield. Hey Chris did you guys ever play the white from the D around the black spot and back to the D without hitting a cushion? Brilliant for money when everybody is blocked.
 
Do we need to fill out an application listing our lag accomplishments to enter the World Lag Championships? I once won 1 out of 4 lags in a bar table 8-ball tournament.

But I didn't know until this very day that it was The One all along, KT could never have outfoxed Jay Helfert or Blackjack. This is just another IPT "no pay" event.

What time should I be there?

I'll be there for sure. I'll be looking for sidegames of 3-ball if anyone is man enough to step in the box. Jamie McWhorter make sure your boy Deuel is there and you've got all the action you can handle! I don't my money I weigh it! It's not heavy, so carry all you can handle...
 
Now we need grady saying he's gonna start his own championship, and to hell with your crappy championship, and his will be a racking and bridge-stacking championship, and seniors are welcome but not the running dog lackeys of CW.

Then randy can reply that he's gonna have his own million dollar racking and bridge stacking championship and he'll pay you to enter.

I would like to volunteer my services as the announcer. I won't charge you a penny. I am willing to share the booth with Grady, Billy, & Buddy.....but not Mitch Lawrence. Please let me know when you have found a sponsor for this event that will pay my expenses to the event along with any I occur while there.

Any update on this event? I've been working on my lag 12 hours a day for the last six months and I've sold my house and bought a sailboat to travel to Easter Island. Hopefully the rumors of cannibalism among the natives are not true.

Damn you caught me lagging! I'm afraid I've falling a little short in my planning and this event has now been delayed.

There will be an anouncment next month about the exciting news I do have to announce for this event! (I can't say too much but I have some exciting blue chip sponsors lined up already shhh)

One thing I can confirm though is that jump cues are banned, we want to eliminate as much luck as possible!

How's your coin toss and lags progressing btw?

I froze 527 consecutive lags last week.
 
I've heard

that a Cuetec is best used for this event. Can you expand on that some, Travis? :D
