I wasn't aware until today that when somebody makes a golden break at the World Pool Masters, all the lights turn gold. I love that!

Big Ko beats Aranas 11-9. Ko vs Kaci in the finals.

Unfortunately for USA fans, the finals are at 7PM local time, which is 1AM Eastern USA time:(

Edit, I think I butchered the time conversion! Does it start at 2PM Eastern USA time?

I really thought Aranas was about 21 years old. I thought he came to Roy's Basement for a year as a teenager. I just looked up his age, and he's 31.

No, it starts at 11AM Pacific. :LOL:

DAZN has all of the matches up on replay. If they do the same as for the snooker championship, they will stay up for a week.
 
1st semi Niels-Kaci is best match of tournament so far. Brutal loss for Niels- hill hill break dry open table Kaci runs out
2nd semi Lucky escape by Ko. He looked set to go out after series of dry breaks. Then at 9-7 Aranas broke dry, Ko won rack follow up with golden break to tie 9-9. Two wet breaks by Ko and a ball in hand courtesy of Aranas and Ko is through to final.
Race to 11 is just right length cos allows more momentum shifts like Niels-Kaci match (Niels 6-0, Kaci 10-7, Niels 10-10, Kaci 11-10)

Niels Feijen is a complete class act. I was so impressed with the grit he showed to come back to 10-10. I was more impressed after the evil pool god gutted him with a dry break and he had to watch Kaci drain his tournament life away. A fan came up to him when he was packing up and Niels while he had to be crushed, signed an autograph and gave the fan a cordial smile. Got to respect him in every aspect.
 
Big Ko will have to play near perfect…’cause he will get out-broke.

On the DAZN broadcast in the USA, there are zero commercials between racks. Does anyone watching on SKY or other broadcasters have real "paid" commercials?
 
The two maple shafts made it to the finals. Kaci's is a 314 (-2 I believe). Ko's I think is a traditional full deflection solid wood shaft.
 
Love the playing conditions. Very tight equipment befits these super-elite players and balls not struck well are jawing out. The runouts have to be earned, and that's as I like it.
