World Ten Ball updates

I guess it's the Jassy Show because for three days her matches have been shown for the TV tables. I like Jasmin and am totally proud of her but there are other players in this event.
 
The commentary is probably the worst ive ever heard. And Seeing jasmine every night is getting old.
 
So, you can miss and get safe but you are not allowed to get lucky on the kick/jump to get out of the other player's lucky safe??????

That makes NO SENSE.

I thought you had to either call a ball or call a safety? The player at the table is allowed to call safe and pocket a ball?

If you call a ball to go into a pocket and you MISS and get safe then the incoming player should have the option to play or pass. Otherwise the incoming player is penalized for the outgoing player's luck.

That's why call shot in rotation games is bogus. It detracts from the game.

Then add this dreadfully slow match into the mix and it's getting boring. Good commentators would make this match much more tolerable.

its muted, i got some itunes loaded up now. Hearing these goofballs refer to almost every shot as easy or a gimmie is getting old. And they're so Pro jasmine, which is also goofy.

LOL! I wonder how many people this is being broadcast to. Listening to Ralf talk about it is more interesting than the commentators.

That 5 ball miss in the decider was fatal. Oh well, better luck next year my favorite female player...

No, you can not call safe and pocket a ball without risking to be put back again. In the match between jasmin and the filipino guy, he pocketed a non called ball, and left a very difficult oneball for Jasmin. She did not put him back, but she should have..

The commentating is embarassing. They have no understanding whatsoever.
"What a horrible miss. Oh no, he got lucky and got safe" - on a perfectly planned safety shot.

Many other examples revealing their lack of understanding. At least one of them should have some pool knowledge. Am surprised that the network does not put more emphasis into this.

Eurotour players = 27
philipe players = 7
asian players = 19
rest =5

in the last 32 :
American players = 3
Eurotour players = 12
philipe players = 6
asian players = 9
rest =2

Is europe the continent with the most top poolplayers?
Is the eurotour the hardest tour to win?
Are the philipinos the best poolplayingcountry?
do these stats reflec the real situation or do you disagree?

my semi's prediction: shane, wu, peach and ralf ;)

You must consider the initials spots from each continent to be much objective. You can tell what you want with statistics... depends on how you present it.

SVB, Wu and Peach are in the same side of the bracket. Only on of them will be in the semi.

My pick : SVB (or Wu) vs Souquet and Feijen vs Appleton
