He's been on ESPN, winning a few braclets at the WSOP. Also he's lot more than a million bucks in a day before, so that should give you an idea about what type of games he's involved in. He's got more action than he ever did in pool.

I remember him beating ARCHER in back pocket. Flakes had lost to him playing regular 9 ball, and then turned around, and butchered him in backpocket.

He played Archer some back-pocket at Hard Times too. Billy Incardona got to coach Johnny. I'm pretty sure that Flakes won that game also.

Wow, Vagabond. Haven't head the name Nick Vlahos in a while. He was some kind of player and his death was a very sad moment in Northeastern pool. I recall that Johnny Archer thought very highly of Nick's nine ball game, his position play in particular.

Another nickname that I didn't care for was Leonardo " the rattlesnake" Andam.

Also, does anyone know how Leondard "Bugs" Rucker got his nickname?

Also, doesn't Shawn Putnam go by 'Bubba the Love Sponge'? Well I guess the TD wouldn't want to call him that.
 
Does anybody actually call Jeanette "Black Widow" or Allison "Duchess of Doom"?? It's all stupid!! Just marketing crap and only a dickhead like the announcer for the ladies pool on TV would actually use these marketing names.

Would you walk up to Earl and say "hey Pearl" or to Buddy and say "hey Rifleman" ....come on ...it's crap.

Alex is the Killer Pixie and Shawn is the love Sponge. The latest issue of BD mentioned "Alex the Killer Pixie". This past weekend Shawn was too embarassed to tell me what his nickname was... he made someone else tell me. LOL :p :p

OMG Jim, yes! Incredible amounts of people refer to Jeanette as "The Black Widow". And more than half of them don't know her real name.

I deleted my original response to this because it didn't make any sense. I responded when I was at work and because of "big brother" watching over my shoulder, my responses typed from work can end up making no sense. What I meant to say was that due to the lbs I've put on this yr, my nickname could be "food sponge". I tend to soak up every calorie I eat here lately :(

Shawn is a teddy bear and as much as he might not like me saying this, I think the name kinda fits him... I can't exactly explain why, but it does. It mostly has to do with his personality. He's a nice guy with a sweet smile... the name fits him. I'm not nearly as nice as he is so the name wouldn't work on me, but nice try there MT! :p

From a guys point of view, I would guess it wouldn't be all that desireable and I'm sure he gets flack for it.... Even though I'm a blue jean & sneakers tomboy (hetero by the way) and don't think too much like a "girl", I would venture a guess and say that I bet women find it cute......

If you think " the rattle snake" was bad, he used to be known as Leonardo "THE SLEEPING BEAUTY" Andam. I guess his shots seem to "wake up" his opponent.

Actually, I really like Jose Parica's nickname used in America which is "the leader of the invasion", crediting him as beginning a wave of Fillipinos coming to the US to gamble and compete.
 
Korean Dragon

He's been called Charlie since he was a kid. I think all Korean's have an English name so people don't screw up our Korean names lol
