For many road agents, I'd say the Internet.
Nowadays you can get the line on an unknown before he walks through the door.
Women's tour falling apart. Good exposure for the game, and it would have been chump change for ESPN to fund the tour.
Pool Leagues and Pool League handicapped mentalities have ruined pool. I don't mind giving up weight if you bet something and we negotiate the spot. Walking into a bar with junk equipment knowing your going to give up 10-3 to any random clown with a pulse and a cue is sickening.
Don't hate poker. It's not poker's fault. Minesota fats once said," You can be the best gin player in the world, but if no one in the joint plays gin where are you?" Well, I can tell you. There are countless poker wanabes that can't wait to give their money away. Meanwile, not a poolpayer in site that will bet fat meat is greasy. Easy to see where the huslers are going and why.
By far the worst thing that has happened to pool in recent memory is the disappearance of nearly all the American male pros from the WPA World Championships.
With declining participation in the most elite events and against the world's greatest players, these players are squandering the opportunity to hone their skills against the creme de la creme and it threatens the prominence of the American male professionals as significant figures in the world pool scene.
Worst of all, there is no end in sight, as nearly all the top American pool professionals seem unconcerned about their declining station in the world of competitive pool.
In all seriousness,I think when guys are blatantly chopping, throwing matches so there buddy can get Mosconi points, brings a cloud over the sport thats difficult to remove.

With the Stream getting 400-500 paid viewers, how many people do you think were watching on ESPN??? Probably not enuff to make it worth while for them to produce a pool event. Its sad but true. Pool has problems.
