WPB World 9 ball

Equally as interesting, who would be the last player to win this event 10 years apart? Thorsten won in 2003.

Or, who's the last player to hold both the 9ball and 14.1 world titles at the same time? it's been awhile!!

9-ball and 14.1 together? I believe it's Ortmann in the 1989-1990 period.

Other one is a tough one. I know Strickland won a US Open 9-ball in both 1984 and 2000, sixteen years apart. World nine ball championships, though, I can't figure that one out.

Not trying to spoil the party but the World Tourney of 14.1 in New York is not a World Championship. It just uses the name, sort of.

:grin-square::grin-square::grin-square: I guess "recognized world championship" comes to mind.

Are you saying you think my guess of Ortmann in 1989-90 is wrong? That's a long time before the Dragon event began.

Stu, no I was speaking to JAM, not your post.

JAM, my wife 'recognizes' me as a great lover. It is in her own self-interest to do so. Unfortunately, that does not make it true. :D
