WPB World 9 ball

I don't know if he'll dedicate this win to me too, like he did at the 14.1 events, but he'll tell me if he did when he picks up his phone.

wow... cool.

To his speech from the finals against Darren. Funny thing is, you know who I am, but don't realize it.

Randy Goldwater

No, I know how you are... I just don't care. And I'm not sure why I should. Even funnier thing... you don't know who I am. You just think you do.

Either way, congrats to Thorsten. He's a great player and deserves the win.

i've read on WPA's FB page that the contract in Doha, Qatar is until 2017. yikes!

Well, if Doha, Qatar, broke their contract to show this 2013 finals LIVE, then I see no reason why the contract until 2017 can't be broken, either. ;)

Yes for sure Thorsten is deserving winner. He took down 2 world champs (Appleton and Orcullo) and 3 top players De Luna, Biado and Gabica.
Took down 4 pinoys. I think The Hitman himself is now a target for pinoys :D

Thorsten

A well deserved win by one of the best guys in the business. Toasti is the real deal and deserves everything he gets. He has earned it.

Probably a chicken and egg thing. No other country may want to host it since pool isn't very financially lucrative unlike snooker. What makes it worse is they are not capitalising on earning from TV rights, revenues. Sad.

Conceivably,

This event could be held in China. Not great for Americans, but at least the event would be done right.

Congrats to Thorsten on a good win.

That stream was embarrassing for a World Championship.

It would be nice to do one on American soil and actually have it available for everyone to watch. Without looking like it was lit with a flashlight and only show two matches.

Or England, Germany, Canada, China, anywhere in the Philippines, etc. where people are actually interested in watching this type of event and could get live coverage, and as a result, streaming to the rest of the world.

and gopi-1 disappears again, so excited when there are pinoys in the running, but always disappear when they are left out

I live in the West Coast, I work from 4 pm to 2 am. I always try to stay up as long as I can. I crashed at 9 am, gotta wake up around 1 :30 pm to get ready for work, what do you want me to do? When 8 Pinoys moved on for the last 32, I wasn't here, same when 5 made it to the last 16, 3 in the last 8, and 2 in the semis, I wasn't here too. What were you asking again? I disappear when they are left out?

Win or lose, I sign off every day at the same time, got used to 4-4 1/2 hours of sleep when this tournament is on, and why do have a hard-on on me? Do I know you?

The US would be an awesome venue - kinda like watching a nice TAR match with the nice video/audio quality, lighting, fast Internet and everything. The only problem would be the strict application of a US visa which may be a disadvantage to foreign players especially those coming from PI.
