Eh, I think Ga Young Kim can top Barretta. I also think K. Fisher has Ellerby.

Loser’s side: Kelly over Lawrence...no question. I also think Rogers has Williams.

I like this match pick thing we seem to be doing, LOL!

Did we ever figure out why Lisa forfeited??

Do you mean Rogers has Fujinaga? Or Engh has Williams?(or maybe u givin' up on yo "SISTA" ? )

I decided to go with Kelly too.

I'm still hoping for a vBookie event.

Nah,no idea why Lisa was a no show. That's why I can't make a pick on her match....if she's there I'll go with her.

My bad, did I mention I'm blonde??? Yes to both...Rogers over Fujinaga and Engh over Williams (though that is a hard call for sure.)

And no....I'd never "give up" on my sista! She's a sure shot! :D

Gerda is seriously kickin' some boo-tay!

Do you already have the outcome of the Hofstatter v. Villarreal match or are you just commenting on her stong leads in the first two matches????

Tbeaux,

Are you a FreeBSD user? Your avatar is similar to the FreeBSD logo (actually, I think it is the logo, just flipped backward and the pitchfork was modified), so I wondered if there was any connection. :)

Herndon will definately have a tough time with Romana Dokovic. Romana is just playing rock-solid right now. With Romana's big break, big stroke and aggressiveness, I expect her to give anyone a hard time and that includes the elites of the tour.

I hope Jenn wins but I have to say, Kim is real tough.

Her first two matches. And, I saw her play in NC and she was real close to dead stroke. I think she is real happy with her life right now and it shows at the table.

The other ladies better watch out for her!

There are lots of great matches in the first round. The 3 other matches that caught my eye were Rachael Abbink Vs Melissa Little, July Kelly Vs Kelly Fisher (I'd love to see that one), and Jenn Barretta Vs Jeri Engh. I think Wendy Jans will give Jeanette a tough match. It's a great field with many great players. Call me crazy, but looking at the brackets, I think Melissa Herndon has a real good chance to advance well into the later rounds in this tournament. I spoke with Karen Corr last week and she said she was breaking the balls extremely well. I think this is Karen's tournament. She sounds very confident, and that's a dangerous thing for everybody else.

Hey Blackjack,

I'll bet you some vcash that Kelly Fisher takes it down. She has been playing fantastic.

Can I get some odds since Karen is #2 and Kelly is #17 :-))

Jude,

I think Jenn is due for a win over GYK. Jenn is more focused and GYK still seems to be a bit flighty sometimes.

I remember watching this match in Lincoln City last year. It was unbelivable! Gerda did not miss a shot in the whole match. I guess that is the way to beat Kelly.

Gerda is the only player I know who plays with a Predator 2 with a Z-shaft on the tour now. I have heard a lot of varies comments on the Z-shaft; nonetheless, Gerda is certainly playing great pool with it.

I hope you're right. I just can't help but to expect great things from GYK though. She's a real talent.

Hello,

My observation is Ga-Young became WORLD CHAMPION and Jenn couldn't get out of Qualifying. As for Kelly Fisher she has to beat Sarah, Allison, Jeanette or Karen. This tournament is SOS: Allison or Karen and maybe Ga-Young. I could be wrong! I would love to have Sarah Ellerby, Kimmy Shaw or Tiffany Nelson prove me wrong. Photo attached LOL Kelly Fisher warming her fanny in a chair. LOL Gerda 7-0

Cheers,

"Gremlin"

Gremlin,
thanks for the Gerda fix!!

Nah,I use Microstuff. The avatar probably did come from FreeBSD (got it from a pic of a jacket patch, shoes were green though, changed the p-fork). I use it as a reminder of a little "multiple personality incident" when I was a child. :(
I'm a little worried about using it though...."Jimbo" might send the avatar police after me. :D

And we have updates!!!

My losers side picks for tonites matches:
