WPBA Great Lakes Classic

Monica will win easily, Miyuki is very much overrated. As to Wendy I don't know what happened but she finished 9th in Florida ok she lost to Seaver and Ellerby. But losing two in row when she had a lots of time to rest after she lost to Jeanette. Debbie is a good regional player but she doesn't beat any half decent player 9 to 1. This especially true with all the hype associated with Jans.

Wendy Jans is good. She had a tough draw. It happens. She's a champion and she'll be back. Don't sell Debbie short. This has been a great tournament for her. She's beaten Wendy Jans, Karen Armstrong, and Melissa Little. Melissa little is ranked #15. Its not easy to get past any of those ladies, and Debbie Schjodt has. Miyuki Sakai is not overrated at all. She did as well as she was expected to do in this tournament. She is only going to get better.

Tiffany's great double-hill win is not that shocking really. Tiffany has brought a lot of game with her to the tour in 2005, possibly heading for a top ten ranking before the year is over.

In the winner's bracket quarterfinals, the higher ranked player has lost in three of four so far. Must be quite a memorable session for the fans in Michigan City.

And now Karen has moved to the loser's side where she will be sending those ladies home.

Glad to see Jeannie doing well. She has a good game. It would be nice to see her defeat Vivian.

I wonder if the WPBA is telling us something by featuring Allison, Gerda and Sarah on their home page?

You may be right, but if you have a glance at the brackets, you'll see that Karen suddenly has a particularly difficult draw on the loser's side.

Five of the top six by current WPBA ranking are beginning Saturday on the "B" side. Good chance for some of the lower seeds to reach the TV rounds.

Hmmm my lower half picks umm

Winners side lower half.....Villarreal,Thornfeldt (although Tiffany could win and it wouldn't surpise me)

Losers side lower half......Corr (still wanna know who has the reach LOL),Webb,Hofstatter,Lee (but Minerich will be right in it)

Yes, we know she's been selected for no-limit nine ball.

At the risk of emabarrassing myself, here are my picks in the first Saturday matches:

Winner side: A Fisher, K Fisher, Seaver, Thornfeldt

Loser side: Ellerby, Herndon, Barretta, Shaw, Corr, Webb, Hofstatter, Lee

So I guess she's not considered a Pro player???

Exactly, and as an amateur/semipro with enough game to have a chance to beat a pro, she seems a perfect choice for no-limit nine ball.

Alice Rim is no longer part of the tour its just Julie Melman & David Hanshaw.
Julie (aka the Ivory Princess) is not a pro yet but the key word is yet, play's good, looks good, perfect for anything thats going to be on TV.
I also think the people at NO LIMIT 9 BALL made a good choice.

Tourney time again! I was hoping anyone with a contact or that is in Indy could post some updates here. Thanx. Hopefully the brackets will be squared away soon. We have a few hours to go before the draw, LOL! (Yeah, I'm always too far ahead! )

Rack 'em! :)

Can guys enter into this tourny?

I don't see why not. You just need to go through the q'er process and win a slot, have the money to pay for expenses, and some nice looking outfits. Oh, and yeah, the "elective surgery" is mandatory....is that an oxymoron??? You may also wanna check and see if all the hormones you will have to take interfere with any standing drug free policy. Good Luck! :)

Jennifer Chen beat Sarah Rousey. Tough loss for Sarah. Jennifer Chen will play Melissa Herndon on Sat. Sat is a long tough day for the ladies.

Looking forward to see Ga Young finally beat Allison.

Wish them all the best.

Regards,
Richard
