You should of had a 'pressed' linen wrap put on, no fuzzies with them.

Do you have one of the white with speck of other color wraps on your cue?

doesn't matter!

it'll just fuzz again...most likely bad roll of linen or it was never pressed to begin with

You should of had a 'pressed' linen wrap put on, no fuzzies with them.

It was pressed and repressed and yes white with green spec

You've got me! Mostly, you hear people talk about linen being too slick. I haven't seen one fuzzy in about 35 years but all mine were pressed. I've never seen a pressed wrap do that. Used to be, you could get what was called "natural" linen that wasn't pressed and was supposed to be fuzzy.

who did the wrap? It should have been waxed and pressed, if done right it would not "fuzz" up on you after 3 weeks or ever if done right.....go back to whom ever did it and have them fix it.......OTB

I wouldn't mind knowing if there is a method to smooth out older linen either. Why not post on the "Ask the Cuemaker" forum?

I put my cue on a lathe sanded it with 600 and sprayed it with spray starch and tried to press it with a shot glass till it got hot. It got better, but I still feel some fuzzys.

You need to use a linen press after starching.
If I want to get it real glossy, I use either sanding sealer or a swipe or two of water based poly.

Wax on wrap

Had same problem. Used a white candle ( unlit ) rub on wrap - wipe down with paper towels.

I did this two times and my wrap seems brand new

Pushout...Man, I'm with you. I've owned dozens of cues with pressed linen wraps, and NONE have ever had "fuzzies".

If you don't have access to a lathe or someone to do the work for you, try a piece of waxed paper. Do not rub it long ways, rub it the same direction of the linen as it's wrapped.
