You should of had a 'pressed' linen wrap put on, no fuzzies with them.
Do you have one of the white with speck of other color wraps on your cue?
Have you tried ironing it with a steam iron st on linen?
You've got me! Mostly, you hear people talk about linen being too slick. I haven't seen one fuzzy in about 35 years but all mine were pressed. I've never seen a pressed wrap do that. Used to be, you could get what was called "natural" linen that wasn't pressed and was supposed to be fuzzy.
Pushout...Man, I'm with you. I've owned dozens of cues with pressed linen wraps, and NONE have ever had "fuzzies".

Had same problem. Used a white candle ( unlit ) rub on wrap - wipe down with paper towels.
I did this two times and my wrap seems brand new
