Haven't been able to find an ideal 60" cue - which is my preferred length - and I don't think I can employ the patience necessary to wait for a "true custom", so I'm expanding my search to 59" cues as well..

Would prefer something w/ wrap and devoid of ivory. I want this to be my last purchase for a long while so please excuse me if I'm picky.. Thanks...
 
I hve sone bice wrapless plain janes about to be ready. I can make one longer. 600$ cocobolo bem handle wrap whatever. Sterling silver railroad track ringwork. I also have a real nice maple burl and an African blackwood with spalted maple handle. 750$

What I have done is buy 30" shafts for my cues. I just bought a 30" predator Fat shaft for my Carolina. I have two 30" shafts made for my Josey and a couple of 30" shafts for my Schons. It is the most effective way to get to 59". Just a side note I am having a 30" Butt being made right now should be done soon. Good luck with your search. Mitch
 
joe callaluca has a beautiful 60" cue for less tha 1k. i'll post pics in a little while.

If Guycrunch is offering that Joe Callaluca for your pricerange, that is an awesome deal on a beautiful cue...and Callaluca Cues play real sporty. You will be hard-pressed to find a better cue for your money.

check with Dick Neighbors here at AZ.he makes the 60" cues with the long butt and standard shaft.i think they play inherently better than a 30"/30" cue.

i went through a 60" phase years ago and out of 10-12 cues i never found a 30"/30" cue that played as well as a 58" cue or a 31" butt with a standard shaft.whatever you do stay away from the 29" butt with 31" shafts.

this is all opinion and i am sure others have different opinions about the long shafts but that is mine,the longer they get the worse they play.

Yeah, I've played with 29/30 splits, and while they didn't really effect my potting ability in an overly detrimental way, they felt terrible... In a perfect world, I'd like a 30" butt with 29" shafts - maybe 1 30", but I'm discovering that they are difficult to come across.
 
The Joe Calaluca cue plays great. For under a grand you can't go wrong.
