The Lambros that was on our sight now belongs to Runscott. Great cue I think he wants $1600 for it.

Is this one of the new improved ultra joints, & who customized the 314 to fit the joint correctly??

And no, I am not runscott..... :p

Thanks for that plug Scott!!! My Lambros is no longer available and unless I croak, will never again be offered for sale on this forum or anywhere else. So those of you who were tired of seeing it change hands here - you can sleep easy now.

And for those of you who were looking for a nice ultra-joint Lambros, check out the Mike Lambros web-site. He has a nice catalog of beautiful cues and I have also heard that he is a real pleasure to work with on cue designs.

Scott <---- cue HEAVY, but happy.

it's not the most recent joint, and the person i bought it from had Wayne Ball in Tampa, FL do the work

he makes great cues, but i can say from experience he is more like a nightmare than a pleasure when it comes to ordering and designing and actually getting him to build a cue.i waited almost a year for my cue after the promised delivery date until i finally go tired of the lies and excuses and asked for my money back.i wish i had that cue now,b/c it would be wrth $3000+ and he quoted me $1400 when we designed it.too bad so many wonderful cuemakers are such bad businessmen.

Damn Mason, sorry to hear about that experience. I have never personally dealt with him, but the two people I know who have, both reported great experiences. Maybe yours was an anomaly?

i asked him a question once at Valley Forge a few years ago.... about his dragon cue...
all i simply asked if the forearm was entirley made of ivory.. and he snapped on me.. just from the two words i got in, i felt he has to be the most arrogant and most rude cuemaker i ever met..

i do agree that he makes an amazing cue and he does awesome work.. but that is no excuse for somebody being a total D***head...

i will NEVER buy one of his cues directly from him.. i would rather buy one from somebody that would appreciate dealing with another person..

I'm guessing with this many members on a forum, you can also find at least one person who despises any particular cue-maker. Nobody's perfect. As with Mike Lambros, I've also heard a lot of great things about Capone.

Actually, I've dealt with quite a few cue-makers, either for repairs, re-wraps or cue orders, and they have ALL been great, including: Joel Hercek, Paul Mottey, Murray Tucker, Jerry Rauenzahn, Kerry Zeiler and others. I'm sure any of these guys could get ornery if the wrong buttons are pushed, but we all know cue-makers are not your run-of-the-mill office-working kool-ade drinkers. Don't go rushing in with both barrels firing and I'm sure you will have better experiences in the future.
