Jim Baxter is your man! I am sure he can set you up with a nice set for a reasonable price.

Try ebay and from seller pipe1976. He is handicapped and makes very nice protectors to stay active and for incredibly low prices. He custom made a 3 piece set for me from cocobola and gabon ebony with a silver ring in my specified diameter for $18 including shipping. I would post photos if I knew how but I would say they are $50 jps. His protectors are much better than his ebay photos so buy with confidence. He is Lonnie Wilber that is mentioned above.

I've also bought two sets from Lonnia off of Ebay. Super nice guy to deal with and VERY affordable too.

JB is the man for JP's

I gotta tell you that Jim Baxter is the man for Fancy and the best looking (matching) JP's the workmanship is top notch BUT if you want cheap then you get cheap!! IMHO
and Jim believe me when I say I feel your pain lots of orders but no cash they love the looks but don't want to pony up

JP's

I have bought several sets from both Lonnie and Jim Baxter.. Although Lonnie's are very affordable and nicely made there is a distinct difference between them..Jim's JP's are a step above which validates the saying, "You get whatcha pay for."

Ditto on Jim Baxter...Has made me several sets which are all incredible and precise... Can't go wrong w/Jim and Christy

Another fancy j/p maker is Alton...whose work really belongs in a museum or on top of Szambotis LOL...

Here is a link to photos of the joint protectors I just recieved from Lonnie.

There are also photos of the wood case I made for my Perry Weston cue 20 years ago.

I did not see a radial pin as an option on Lonnie's joint protectors.

Jim Baxter's are hard to beat.

Alton's are absolute top of the line pieces of art...the price reflects the amount of work that goes into them.

Hi We do a lot of j/ps and our reputation speaks for it self . And we have a lot of return customers . We value these people a lot . Our j/ps are not the least expencive and they are not the most expencive . There is a place for everyone . I have a j/p gallery below in the signature with over 700 sets , most have gone to AZ'ers . Heres a couple pictures of maple burl and some ebony and I'll look for some with both on the same set . Most of our j/ps are built on a purple heart core , so the do not come apart if droped . If they do send them back for a free repair . Thanks Jim
