These are the kind of comments (in Red) that turn conversations/analysis of shots into arguments!I would disagree with what I put in bold above. The only way this would be correct is if Bill can't draw the ball. My assessment at this level would conclude that to be false. Therefore we are all subject to the variables of physics and this would prove not to be the correct shot for him. I could analyze this from another perspective and conclude Bill has a mental illness or is an adrenaline addiction or is a recovering gambling addict who fell off the wagon. I just can't conclude this is the correct shot in any rational scenario. Sometimes we just don't know what's good for us. One thing is for sure, he can shoot what ever the hell he wants too and did.
Well we can't have a lil' comedy anymore now can we? Everyone is just a little too sensitive. These are the kind of comments (in Red) that turn conversations/analysis of shots into arguments!
That may be so, but Efren did not shoot shots "just because he could". He always played the percentages, and only resorted to circus shots when there was little other choice.I think, (being one) 3C players see, 'playing position, running ball and the use of more than 1 tip of any type of English normal.
I even think that many will agree that Efren's experience with 'Carom' games was one of his strongest attributes playing rotation games and defiantly at 1 hole.
God put that perfect little window between the 5 and 15. He expects it is used.actually bill has the right shot and it isnt a hard one and gives the best chance of getting all the balls.
and he didnt need to and didnt anyway load up a lot of inside. just one tip was all that shot would take to get in that area.
you guys buy 300 dollar shafts so you dont get squirt and then are affraid of inside. common on.
Like Corey says, sometimes you shoot a shot just to see if it works.I don't think anyone is arguing or criticizing, just having fun debating the best pattern. And even if someone does choose a low percentage pattern, who cares, it's all fun. I have found myself shooting the wrong shot just because it's more exciting. Having all that been said, please draw that ball next time.
There is nothing in your post that gives me the slightest idea that you were joking. Now instead of just admitting you made a mistake, everyone is too sensitive and you are the king of comedy. I hope you can do the right thing, and apologise. You are out of line.Well we can't have a lil' comedy anymore now can we? Everyone is just a little too sensitive.

Yes, you are probably correct. Sarcasm and exaggeration doesn't come across sometimes on the internet, but that was the intent. If you read my original post in this thread, you will see I was very polite. So I do apologize if it came off wrong. There is nothing in your post that gives me the slightest idea that you were joking. Since you mentioned the amount of effect on the CB, do you or anyone else have any thoughts on why I applied that much. It's worth noting, that with that much top, one tip is a lot. There ain't room for much more than that that high on the cue ball...

Thanks. That was not my reasoning to get the rebound off the 1st rail.Sure, to shorten up the kick off the rail back to the 11...
Don't misunderstand. I think you made one hell of a shot. It's just not the percentage that I would've personally chosen.
Thanks. That was not my reasoning to get the rebound off the 1st rail.
It has to do with basic Carom elements relating to, angle of attack into the OB, distance from OB, stroke through the CB/timing/tempo and obviously speed is a factor.
I could have applied 'Minimum' 11 O'clock English if the OB and CB were in different positions.I don't play three cushion so maybe I'm not understanding.
Are you saying that the inside did not shorten the rebound off the rail? That it would not have kicked significantly longer had the cue ball simply been rolling forward off the tangent line?
If my aunt had nuts she would be my uncle.I could have applied 'Minimum' 11 O'clock English if the OB and CB were in different positions.
No bet.If my aunt had nuts she would be my uncle.
Now days, you never know.If my aunt had nuts she would be my uncle.
Sorry, but that really didn't answer my question.I could have applied 'Minimum' 11 O'clock English if the OB and CB were in different positions.
