I can see that the logic course I took, has put me at a distinct disadvantage.

That may be so, but Efren did not shoot shots "just because he could". He always played the percentages, and only resorted to circus shots when there was little other choice.

actually bill has the right shot and it isnt a hard one and gives the best chance of getting all the balls.

There is nothing in your post that gives me the slightest idea that you were joking. Now instead of just admitting you made a mistake, everyone is too sensitive and you are the king of comedy. I hope you can do the right thing, and apologise. You are out of line.
Yes, you are probably correct. Sarcasm and exaggeration doesn't come across sometimes on the internet, but that was the intent. If you read my original post in this thread, you will see I was very polite. So I do apologize if it came off wrong.
It's worth noting, that with that much top, one tip is a lot. There ain't room for much more than that that high on the cue ball...
Since you mentioned the amount of effect on the CB, do you or anyone else have any thoughts on why I applied that much.

It has to do with basic Carom elements relating to, angle of attack into the OB, distance from OB, stroke through the CB/timing/tempo and obviously speed is a factor.
I don't play three cushion so maybe I'm not understanding.
Are you saying that the inside did not shorten the rebound off the rail? That it would not have kicked significantly longer had the cue ball simply been rolling forward off the tangent line?
I could have applied 'Minimum' 11 O'clock English if the OB and CB were in different positions.

Without the inside, would the cue ball have come off the rail that short or would it have rebounded longer without giving the shape that you needed?
