I can't imagine myself ever moving forward with the cueball from this spot. Draw all day, every day.

It looks like too much angle to use draw to get behind the balls. However, draw might get you next to the 12 for a bank on the 5 and run out from there. All these WWYD is so dependent on the exact angles. The follow is still a good shot to practice.
I think not. As shown in the drawing in the second post, the shot is nearly straight. In fact, it is absolutely easy to draw into the five ball and the problem is to have only a little draw so you don't run into the five. Here is the drawing again:

you know, everyone has their own idea of what is the right shot. sometimes there is only one right shot, but most times the right shot is depending on that particular player.
so each of us can have the right shot in our mind. and the one best suited for us.
two here, are top experts at the game and have opposite opinions. so that shows how things go in pool and billiards.
some of those that arent top players are too quick to interject opinions that are negative. please say what your choice is and why that is so instead of putting down someone else. or is that your way of showing how smart you are. instead it shows how really dumb you are by driving away those that can help all of us in some manner.

We all know you're gonna bet that 50/50 against anybody.As far as trying previously discussed shots at get-togethers, I was absolutely serious. I remember one member claiming they could make the eight ball half the time with the second-ball break. I think that talk would end pretty quickly at even money. Unless they are really Corey Deuel.

That is precisely the shot where I draw into the wrong side of the 5 and then say bad words.
