Yo johnny!

Johnny was forced to use his break cue on a thin cut (7 ball) and hung it up. Kim runs out, and snaps it.

You know Johnny's sick....

I know i know i shoulda got the ppv BUT can someone shed some light on how the broken stick story went down??? Thanks in advance.

Actually it looked like the cue broke a little too easy. I don't for a minute think Johnny did it on purpose.....just a frustration slap against his leg that went bad.

Tell the whole story...the part where this is not the first time he pressured a cue and snapped it.

They break pretty easily, in me experience;), what is a cue .5 x 1.5", 58" long? And a pencil .25 x 6"? Perhaps someone who passed calculus on the first shot can comment of the difference in resistance between the 2 objects?

Sometimes the cue must pay. :noexpression:

I've played on and off for over 20 years, I never broke a cue. Maybe when I was younger I used too much rough sandpaper and greenie weenies to clean the shaft, but I never broke a cue, I just had some popped off tips, cracked ferrules and dings on the shaft and butt. If he had to pay out of his pocket for some nice custom cues, I'm sure he'd take care of them better. But I think they should have gave him a minute or so to gather up another cue besides his break cue.

In my opinion, this sentence is not true. People who break cues, will break them regardless of their value, or if they bought them personally. I know from watching many players do this over the years, myself included ;) I've seen it happen with $100 production cues and $2000 custom cues. A higher dollar cue might keep a temperamental player honest when the cue is brand new, but after that intitial period is over, rest assured, the temper in the player will come out, and the cue will be in multiple pieces.

Well, I have broke other things, not a pool cue. Maybe I hit the butt on the floor a few times, that's about it. But some people will do things such a punch walls and kick things. I guess it's personality though. Johnny probably didn't break any of his cues when he was younger and buying his own cues.

I brake HARD and I DRAW hard. I have snapped one shaft breaking and one drawing. Thats it for me. I must see this video of archer anyone have it?

I have broke 2 shafts from breaking also.....none on purpose, although I did get a free Mcdermott that was broke over a table in a bar.

Cues

I have played 47 years and have never broke a cue. I have broken a ferrule 2-3 times breaking with the cue, but never the cue itself. (breaking with a playing cue).

I have a J&J break/jump cue now --- .... with 2 shafts just in case I should happen to pop a tip or break a shaft, which I do not think would happen considering the shaft is conical and 13.25 mm at the tip.

Breaking things just because you are angry does not seem logical to me, I mean, it was you to begin with that made the mistake, so the accountibility rests entirely on your own shoulders, not the cues ... lol

You have to take responsibility for your own shooting - good and bad...
