My favorite case that my bud Tony Jones sent me from Thailand (great deal too)--Talisman 2x4 Tribal case. I love that I can put my cues together and stick them right back into the case (butt side down first) while I'm playing. The "slots" in the case are rubberized so your shaft and butt have maximum protection. It has 2 large pockets that are extremely roomy (which is important for me) and a teeny pocket which you can fit chalk, tips, or lip gloss!Bruce S. de Lis said:

My favorite case is my own custom butterfly case. I made it for myself. Small, black with two pockets. It is lightweight but protective enough for me. I fabricated a special backpack strap for it for those few times when I need to carry it without worrying about it slipping off the shoulder. It's as small as a 1x2 yet I can hold three to four cues fairly easily in it.
Other than that if I had to rank cases I have owned then it would go like this.

I like to have lots of pocket space so my favorite is my Silverfox BR-2. I took the inside cue pockets out and put in hard tubes in the configuration I need at that time. Sometimes it's 2x3, sometimes it's 3x7. Lightweight, all the protection I feel I need and tons of storage space. It's also plain looking simple black and consequently goes under the radar of watchful thieves. Perfect for me.

Jim made a great case for my friend that includes straps (backpack style) on the case which is cool, IMO.

. I realize that some are over the edge but you have to make what ever the customer wants. That is what "custom made" is all about. Everyone has their own opinion on what they like and I try to meet that demand. I just wanted to let you and everyone else know that not all are "gaudy"and some are downright plain.

Welcome, Jack!
I prefer the plain look over the "overboard".... I think the plain case you attached above is very VERY nice... That is my taste, although I did really like the zebra case as well.
