Yu Ram Cha Tops Men's Field at King's Bay Tournament

Kings Bay has now officially put Yu Ram on ineligible list.
Many men complained about her playing during and after first event.

Yu Ram was happy when she heard that she cannot play.
she's got a great attitude

well that sucks they should take her off the banned list and probably half of the people on the banned list, then they might have really good competitve tournaments in a pool rich area

it seems a little unfair to let pros play in amateur tourneys
some of the lower level women pros are barely 'a' players .....I have been in several tournaments that women from the pro circuit were in ...

I love watching the women play , they tend to display the real grace and beauty of the sport ...

I don't agree with her being ineligible to play on King's Bay after one tournament. SHe did have to go through the loser's bracket. However, the more they ban, the less players that will compete...which in turn means smaller pay outs. To each his own..

And just maybe the people on the banned list should nut up, and practice harder, and attempt to beat a few pros in open tourneys. NOBODY guarantees you the opportunity to compete in a tour where you are in the top 10%, ALWAYS. (And you know you are always top 10% in the King's Bay tourney, James...)

The King's Bay Tour is just like any other competitive group. If you are an all around nice guy, and most of the people competing like you, you will be given leniency when it comes to moving up.

If you stick around the tournament preying upon the lower level players, taking their money, and bragging about it, well then you just might get "upgraded". (Not saying you do this..but i know of one person this applies to.)

When I get back from Iraq, I am going to start off competing in the KBP tournaments, and will probably compete in the open events as well. Weeknight and weekend.

I wait anxiously for the time period when I get banned from the KBP. Until that time, I am going to smile, shake the hand of every person I play, and try my best to beat them. I too LOVE Yu Ram Cha's attitude about moving up to tougher tours. Personally, I think the reason that people who whine about moving up don't do well generally at higher levels is that they are too accustomed to beating up on lower level players. It's easier to stay the big fish in the small pond that to go and compete for food against the sharks.

im not going to take any of the derogatory comments personal because i dont think we've ever met, we just disagree which is fine.
i could write some witty retort but whats the point

Just wanted to clarify that, to the best of my knowledge, Yu Ram is not considered a pro over here.

Charlie Williams asked me if I would take her under my wing while shooting on our regional tour, because she wants to and needs to qualify first to go pro. While I don't speak her language, we would have been honored to be able to play against her. Go Yu Ram Cha!!!

She's a pro in her country. Can A. Fisher go to other countries and play in any event? It's not her fault, it's that we have NO system in the USA. Johnnyt

Here's a good question for those of you that agree with Yu Ram being put on the ineleigibility list...
How is it fair that she is banned from KBP, but Jeannie Seavers; who competed in the world championships...and I believe took 2nd, is still allowed to play on KBP?

It's not fair, and she shouldn't be able to play either. We can argue this until we're blue in the face but what has to change is we need a US ranking system that every tour follows. Johnnyt

There are at least 7 guys on the KBP Tour that beat her for the cash.....

Maybe not anymore, but there were in the 2007 field of KBP. But she went through and cleaned house at the end of last year! I got kicked off then, and I can tell you there were some decent players in the group kicked off. You can't tell me you wouldn't play her.
