Excellent Female player from South Korea, Seo Seoa

There is surprisingly little talk of her considering how much of a force she is in women's pool.

She just beat Kristina Tkach, Pia Filler, and Jasmin Ouschan within 4 matches.

I just watched some of that tournament. Jasmin was definitely playing better and had a nice 3-1 lead in the second set and Seo did what she needed to do to win.

2026 Billard Beckmann Men’s Open

I bet Vogel's rating is much lower than his recent play. He's probably already playing like an 810+ and his rating just hasn't caught up.
Vogel's first title is a great day for pool. Well done!

Still, his form against the 800+ crowd really hasn't been terribly strong until this event. We all know that Felix will be a very special player, but he is not there yet. The eye test for me puts him at about Fargo 805.

Felix plays with a level of knowledge that is very rarely seen in a player his age (18 1/2). Still, let's not confuse his development curve with that of a Gorst (World 9ball champion at 18) or a Filler (who ran over 290 at 14.1 at age 14, was Mosconi MVP by age 20, and was World 9ball champion at age 21).

I've gotten to know Felix fairly well and he's a great kid with a great attitude and a business-like approach to his continuing development as a player. I can't wait to see what he's going to accomplish in his very promising career.

Wishing Felix every possible success in his ongoing pursuit of excellence.

I watched a live stream of an 800 Fargo rate player, competing in a $20 weekly tournament, recently.

sad that a top pro would come in and take off a small tournament where he was almost sure to win the top money.

maybe some would like it to watch him play or from your seat but it is really un fair. the t.d. should have put a big penalty spot associated when playing him.

if you do, at least tell him you will concede to him if he shows you all the shots and explains what you need to improve on. at least you get a lesson for your money thrown away.

Well, the way I see it is that in a short race to 3 games, playing 9 ball, for example, any fairly good player has a chance to at least get in the money, and maybe even win the event.

I do understand why long race (like going to 9 games, for example) tournaments are Fargo rate capped (like 550 and under, 650 and under, and so on) though.

But, I think it is kind of silly to make a short race tournament not open to all players. And, I see a race to 3, 9 ball, as a short race tournament. That would be compared to a race to 2, 8 ball, I think. I am also not sure if an 800 Fargo player is going to give his 100% A game in a $20 tournament. I assume not.

Ortiz comes from the loss side to win 14th of 17 cash-earning appearances on the NWPA Tour

Those of us engaged in reporting on tournaments, large and small, in both large and small pool communities, are hoping for a day to come when we can access a database that will be able to provide us with instantaneous access to information about how many times any given two competitors have competed against each other over a designated period of time. Like Molina Ortiz and Kathie MacDonald, for example, on the Northwest Women’s Pool Association Tour (NWPA). We are not holding our breath as we wait on the arrival of that day. We do know, from what we have […]

Break Stats -- 2026 Billard Beckmann Men's Open (Predator Pro Billiard Series) 10-Ball, June 2026

This is good info. 11% B&R, with only 26% on successful breaks, and having safeties in over half the games all means that there is more back and forth, which is a very, very good thing for this spectator. I really like what Predator is doing (saturation marketing aside) to make pool more exciting and therefore fun to watch.
