Jump Bridges?

I actually received the attached device in the mail today and tried it out. While it does elevate the bridge higher, it's very unstable due to its construction in my opinion. The vertical shaft is too thin, and a little horizontal tab 2/3 of the way up gets in the way. If you try to stabilize it the way they suggest, the bottom tends to wiggle around on the table top. I tried it for about a half hour, a couple times, and could do better without this mechanical bridge then with it. I will be sending this one back, and look forward to trying the ez jump bridge when it comes on Monday.

1000 Fargo

They love Billy....he will be on there for decades.

Styer won't be playing next year...that's what I'd bet.

Without sponsorship and a willingness to forgot his current life, Meglino won't be on the WNT tour. That's the same hurdle anyone has now with the expense of staying out on tour.

i would guess neither makes the team next year. especially if it's true bergman will compete in WNT, and if atencio is eligible

McDermott cues in The Color Of Money

That’s an interesting take 🤔 it’s possible. Although technically Moselle beat Eddie in their first matchup, Grady beat Vince in their first match, and Amos beat Eddie as well. Moselle was the top guy at Chalkies, and Grady was the number one player in the world using a McDermott.

There’s also quite a few other McDermotts in the movie used by extras, but I can’t get a full view of the butt to identify exactly what D models they were. I wonder if the reason they never advertised it was because none of the McDermotts were used by main characters. The only cue that was highlighted was the “Balabushka”.
That would make sense.

Vizz (or other brand) vision correcting eye drops while playing pool

Took a little longer to get to this than I'd hoped, but my eye doctor gave me a free sample of Vuity eye drops. These are a slightly different product than the Vizz drops I wanted, but I gave them a try today anyway.

I put one drop in each eye and within about 10 minutes they were a little red and I started to get a mild headache.
After another 20 minutes the redness was gone, and the headache was lessening. By 45 minutes the headache was gone.

It's a little hard to put visuals into words, but I'll try.

There was a definite improvement in what I could see or read within about 36 inches. Beyond that I can't say there was a difference.
As an example, I could easily read the ingredients on the back of an energy drink, or all the text on my driver's license, but still can't read anything smaller than that. I should note that I normally cannot read either of those without my glasses.

I also noticed that the room seemed dim. I'd say it's comparable to wearing light tinted sunglasses indoors. Not really an issue, but I'm not sure I'd want to drive at night like this.

As far as shooting pool, the benefits were small. As I mentioned it seems the vision improvement was all within three feet, so beyond that no real change. I did find it easier to see the gaps when racking the balls and making sure I had full chalk coverage on my jump cue, but as far as general shot making, I didn't think it was any better or worse. I was also able to see/use the CompuSport and Fargo apps on my phone.

I may try them again over the next few days just to see if my results change at all from repeated use, but after one try, I'm not totally sold on it.

I would still like to try the Vizz brand just because they claim they have fewer side effects and last longer, which might give it more value, but it would likely be just for convenience of reading things etc and not really for pool.

changing game

Faster doesn't bother me. Tightening the living shit out of pool tables does. Only makes the game harder, not better.
played on a 7ft diamond barbox a couple of weeks ago with some very unforgiving pockets. threw me off my typical game especially with the banks. never got me self on the groove and have to change my style and strategy. in fairness to that experience, my pocketing improved significantly once I returned back to the typical 8/9 footers. now I just have to get the feel playing on a new 760 cloth. I didn't have to draw that much so I most of the time overshoot my positioning most of the time.
