Why are there so few black pro players..?

The majority of black players that I know of or had a chance to meet are literally regional hustlers/road players.

Earl Herring, a very good pro player from years past who plays north of NYC has told me that there's no incentive for black players to bother becoming pro level tour players. Why? There's way more money in action matches than there is in tournament pool. He always brings up Josh Roberts as a perfect example of his thinking. Not that black players wouldn't be able to hang with the top tournament players, but it's a different mindset.

Why are there so few black pro players..?

Going Pro takes a personality/drive to accept a million misses, much less Hitting a Million Balls.

Just like the female question, its a numbers game maybe a money game. Don't exactly know the population percentages of White vs Black but believe that Black folks in the US are still a minority.
Then there's always the money thing. No matter if you're white black or green, you need cash to compete in Pro Tournaments.

Corey Deuel still good? Fargorate

Corey's career is a very interesting one. I don't think he was ever among the elite in terms of cueing prowess. What gave him his edge was his creativity and tactical play. In today's game -- the best strikers seem to win everything.
Yes very interesting, and well managed working the middle.
He's the real deal/a real pool player/full time but mother times Fargos increasing.

Corey Deuel still good? Fargorate

He in no way said he’s better than Corey .. hes asking a legit question. No Corey duel isn’t playing is best anymore.. No he’s not beating the best players in the world at this point. When have you seen him any where near a matchroom final day. It’s a legit question that how accurate is your Fargo if your game is falling off either from age or just lack of competitive play. That doesn’t mean I think you , me or any of the rest of us knuckleheads on here can beat him lol we are comparing his Fargo to the best in the world. Not to amateurs on a pool forum. By your silly post a commentator shouldn’t question anything a player does because he doesn’t have a high Fargo and thats just dumb
Now, thats what I call a well reflected comment.
