Beggars can’t be choosers, but the biggest issue with the 4’s with the mahogany wood finish is the bronze finish on the corner castings. They pit like hell. There was another finish I only just recently saw on a mahogany GC4. It was closer to silver than bronze. I just saw it this year in two separate rooms and it was still in perfect shape. Idk if that finish was only in later years, but if you have a choice, def get that one.

Tom Ferry, OldHasBeen on AZB, used to play with a three, four or maybe it was even a five piece cue, to entice people to play him for money. (I can't remember how many pieces it had.) This cue would be good for that purpose.
Wiktor Zielienski maybe, he keeps getting deep in tournanents and I think just a little bit of improvement could have him a routine contender. Felix Vogel has impressed me too with his recent PBS 10 ball win. At only 18, I can only imagine how good he'll be in the coming years. And Wu Kun Lin (the man he beat) also seemed like a sleeper to me, doing very well in that tournament (and winning the mixed doubles).
On the women's side, I would say Seo Seoa is underrated in the sense that she is not on the top of any ranking lists, but is arguably a top 2 women's player based on her performances of late. If she wins the upcoming women's 10 ball championship, I would place her at #1.
A choice such as this at her age, tells me her parents are ''in cue'' with real life. \
Tho in her billiard field, I think she's got a very good chance at doing very well doing both things if she can get a good coach to keep on keeping on in this great game.
I bought one a few months back. I did exactly what is suggested above. I looked for about 6 weeks before I found one and it was in Wichita, which is about 90 minutes north of me. I ended up finding it in a Facebook ad and I don't even have Facebook. While searching it sure seemed like it would have been a lot easier if I was looking in the northeast. A lot of ads for Gold Crowns in general seemed to be from there. My pockets are just under 4.5 inches.
The cue has an allen set screw weight bolt which could be removed, or weight could be added. I'd be happy to adjust it for you. The bocote is beautifully straight grained.
