Are there any resources for finding a Gold Crown other than Facebook marketplace?

I’d go to a few local rooms and get their mechanic contact info. Then call the mechanic and ask if he has any 4’s. You’ll need a mechanic for the install anyway.

GC4 in brown in the NE should be tons. Diamonds didn’t take over in the NE until a decade later.

5” pockets were standard. If you find a tighter one, 99/100 it will just have shims that you can pull off.

Beggars can’t be choosers, but the biggest issue with the 4’s with the mahogany wood finish is the bronze finish on the corner castings. They pit like hell. There was another finish I only just recently saw on a mahogany GC4. It was closer to silver than bronze. I just saw it this year in two separate rooms and it was still in perfect shape. Idk if that finish was only in later years, but if you have a choice, def get that one.

most underated pool players

Wiktor Zielienski maybe, he keeps getting deep in tournanents and I think just a little bit of improvement could have him a routine contender. Felix Vogel has impressed me too with his recent PBS 10 ball win. At only 18, I can only imagine how good he'll be in the coming years. And Wu Kun Lin (the man he beat) also seemed like a sleeper to me, doing very well in that tournament (and winning the mixed doubles).

On the women's side, I would say Seo Seoa is underrated in the sense that she is not on the top of any ranking lists, but is arguably a top 2 women's player based on her performances of late. If she wins the upcoming women's 10 ball championship, I would place her at #1.

I bought one a few months back. I did exactly what is suggested above. I looked for about 6 weeks before I found one and it was in Wichita, which is about 90 minutes north of me. I ended up finding it in a Facebook ad and I don't even have Facebook. While searching it sure seemed like it would have been a lot easier if I was looking in the northeast. A lot of ads for Gold Crowns in general seemed to be from there. My pockets are just under 4.5 inches.

help, looking for the name of this shot

ah yes, the shot you describe is true. i must adjust what i meant to ask. it should be:

what's the name of this shot?
short-long, ball, NOT the same long rail, ball (sometimes it'll hit the short rail just before the ball).
is this also an umbrella?

see my shots below at the 46 sec and at 1:43 for the shots.

umbrella shot in 3 cushion billiards definition
.........................
In 3-cushion billiards, the umbrella shot is a standard shot where the cue ball hits two cushions before contacting the first object ball, then hits one more cushion and spins out to strike the second object ball.

  • This shot is often executed with inside english (spin) on the cue ball to facilitate the angle required to hit the second rail after the first ball contact.
  • It is distinct from the "lag ticky" or "inside umbrella" variations, which may involve different rail sequences or require hitting the rail before the first ball in a specific corner configuration.
