Team Fracasso-Verner downs Team Sias in pursuit of Lisciotti Cup in Vernon, CT

The Prince of Pool’s legacy continues to be honored In preparation for this report on last weekend’s (Dec. 13-14) $7,000-added Lisciotti Cup team event, held under the auspices of Mike DeMarco’s ShipTheCash organization, in collaboration with Pete Brown, owner of the host, Rack’s Billiards in Vernon, CT, we came across an improbable tale about the event’s namesake, the man they called “The Prince of Pool.” In the spring of 1991, in a story, entitled The Last of a Rare Breed, written by Suzanne Weinstock for The Snap Magazine (“The Magazine for Pool Players”), Ms. Weinstock relates a bit of Lisciotti’s […]

How To Play This Shot

How a pro plays this shot and how most of us would / should play it are two completely different things. With the cue ball that close to the cushion at that angle, making it in the side pocket and stroking it with enough speed and spin to get around three cushions is not easy, at least it would not be for me. This is why I might choose to play the much easier safety. Of course the decision also depends on the skill level of your opponent.
It's a punch shot hit the cb about 3 o'clock. I asked the OP how far the cb was off the rail, n/a w/o knowing that, the next move it as such.

Mid America lathe upgrade

Just got them from you a couple days back. with some other stuff. They're a great upgrade, especially on the small wheel. I really appreciate your good and quick service.
I know my extender bar looks a little funky, but it works. Looking at it now in the picture, I think next time I'm in the shop I'll look for an angled flathead screw, and angle out the extender bar hole there so the screw sits flush and looks nicer. Stupid, I know, but once something bugs me I have to try and correct it. May even have to use a stainless screw so the head matches my buffed bar, ha ha.
Anyway, I really like those handles, and it was a simple install, if you already have a drill and a 10x24 tap.
Thanks man - I like the bar, that is really great idea.
