WTB any wood Mezz United shaft or 5/16 14 kielwood

Just got a used Mezz with a warped shaft - if you went CF and have an old shaft collecting dust, let me get it!

Preference is around 12.5, but will entertain other sizes. Straight, tight fitting, and reasonably priced are my main caveats.

What I'm really wanting is kielwood, although I believe I'm going to have to go custom for that to get one without a loose fitting pin. Please let me know if you know better!

Intentional Fouls … An Important Strategic Tool

wonderful video dave perhaps your best showing what few even think about.

only bad part is some of the shots your opponent will not let you do or fight and say its a foul. most of the close type shots need to be explained before shot to avoid this to at least know if you shoot it you will not get it from him.

and in the pool room when your cueball is very close to the object ball. found that saying only way to shoot is to have the cueball come straight back with no forward motion or the cue must be pointing away from the object ball when you shoot. not perfect but eliminates the argument.

Custom and High End Cues on the Decline?

I finally decided these are my favorite 3 cues to play with using 3rd party Kielwood shafts I bought.
And one of these cues just plays a notch above the other two, both of which are really nice to use.

However, if I only play using the orig. maple shafts, only the Scruggs remains in both top 3 groups.
What amazed me is how KW shafts really do play better than the same weight original maple shafts.

The other 3 cues in my case (6x12) have the same threads as the cues in the photo so I can pull one
any time and play with a Kielwood shaft. Screw CF….I’ve always played wood shafts & KW is great.

p.s. I think custom cues will endure over time and at least retain orig. value rather drop like other cues.

who made the cue in the middle?
all great looking

I just don't like the InFuze Kielwood shaft

I wonder why the shaft doesn't fit your modified 3/8x10 cue, most after market shafts tap the threads in a way that it would fit. Have you tried to screw it on the other butt?
It's probably not deep enough to fit the length of the joint pin. Pretty sure I had to go to 38mm depth to fit my modified pin on a few shafts (SMO, Rhino, McD i2, etc).

I just don't like the InFuze Kielwood shaft

this is a new shaft, wasn't around when I got mine. good to know.
I wonder if there is a difference in deflection performance compared to the one piece shaft.
The weight of your shaft is perfect! I wish mine was like it.
Enjoy it.
Yeah, come to think of it, the pro I ordered it from had just posted a video using a prototype version of it at the time I ordered it. So it likely only came out a month or so ago. I would say the if a Revo is a 10/10 for Low Deflection, this is a 9. Very close. The taper is also really nice. I had tried the Predator Centro, and this one is closer to the Revo in terms of deflection. That's just my thoughts after 2-3hrs of play, so I'll update after maybe a month or so.
