Maybe I'll go and play in the 14.1 too which is suppose to run concurrent with the 1pocket, just to pass the time.

It’s a great location, and the world’s greatest convenience store / gas station chain ( Buc’ee’s) is less than a mile. There is a restaurant within the parking lot of the hotel. I was only there for the pro 9-ball, but I didnt hear any conplaints on the scheduling.

I've seen jumpers built built in every configuration. They all work and there is not a one-size-fits-all. The best advice I can give in building any cue is this; build yourself a few. One heavy, one light. One maple, one Purpleheart....etc. Figure out which one suits you best. Let others test them. Get feedback. Apply the new knowledge into another round of testing. You will never waste time or material by learning from trial and error.
