I got the impression the players only got to see the balls for the first time in the morning of the tournament, which is a bit poor IMHO. Quite like the new blue 2 to be honest, but apparently an old Dynasphere set used that colour for a different number so maybe Jayson was familiar with that set and it's why he got confused. Long term I don't see there being major issues with this ballset

I prefer the new colours.

Blue ball is easier to identify.

It's just a 5/16-14 pin that is not interchangeable with other Schon shafts
Some of them actually are interchangeable.

Im 54 but I’m not an old timer and I’m cool with them. You are dealing with a group of people that 30 years after people started wearing gloves to play will call it gay and still say things like they would never lose to someone that wears one lol Pool players or people in general hate change.

Yeah, the black one's worse - like a deadly beetle. Teal, I like. The problem is it needs more contrast to/from the two. I think experimenting with the relative color values would go a longer way than ugly balls. Like if the 9 had a hotter yellow than the one. Blazing pastels for the 9 and 10, and I suppose something else distinctive for the 8.

When you have had a popular winning design for decades, don’t change the design and instead
concentrate on improved resin formulas, dye colors, durability, tolerances and chip resistance.
I don’t know of anyone disliking Brunswick Centennials even though they may own a different brand.

It’s probably just a bit tighter than usual. You can try to tap it but it might won’t fit a Mezz anymore.

Kind of makes the WPC and both pro tours seem puny by comparison.

Did you check the length of the pin compared to other cues?
