Tournament organizer admits he gambled away all of the tournament prize money 😂

my small home town in Illinois, about 2000 pop. there was a woman who always wanted to be around the money, Little League, Girl Scout cookies, summer camps, etc. to the point that the town wised up and just didn't let "Betty" be the treasurer anymore. she never stole it all, but a hundred here, hundred there kind of thing.

My son dated a gal the same way, waitress/server only took jobs where she "handled the cash", cheated the owner, short-changed customers, especially after a few drinks, etc. the gal's mother was the same way, but she worked "front office" in medical places, stole from petty cash, but her real prize was access to the Rx drugs.

New balls, Shaw plays wrong ball

I got the impression the players only got to see the balls for the first time in the morning of the tournament, which is a bit poor IMHO. Quite like the new blue 2 to be honest, but apparently an old Dynasphere set used that colour for a different number so maybe Jayson was familiar with that set and it's why he got confused. Long term I don't see there being major issues with this ballset
The light blue was the 7B on Cyclop sets.

If a guy called eagle eye mistakes the balls it's a bad sign. But they don't care. Enjoy your clown balls fellas!

What beginner pool tip do you wish you learned sooner?

This might be too general for what's going on with your progress, but on the one hand you have a genre that requires extreme competence and on the other hand, you want to attain that competence while having fun.

The choking you cite is probably self induced conflict. The match gets "real" so you apply rational (and unfamiliar) concerns to an incomplete skill set. Maybe it's the one ball or you can't seem to stay in line. Simply put, you're in over your head.

You may be lacking in patience. You want to hotrod your talent. That's still a tedious process. Skills have to be commensurate with ambition.

See a pattern?

Mastering pool isn't about who you beat. It's about mastering pool. The lessers will fall by their own folly.
First it's about mastering pool, then it's about mastering yourself. Both are easier said than done, and I'm not sure which is the harder one. I've personally done one but have been working on the other for 20 years.

Tip issue

Hello, I’m working on a customers Pechauer rogue shaft and have had 2 of Samsara tips pop off within weeks. I used Loctite on one and epoxy on the other. Any thoughts as to why they won’t stay on? Side note I’m using a Porper lathe that I’ve been using for 26 years so it’s not my first time I just haven’t had an issue like this in a long time and I don’t want to keep throwing tips at it.

Added: a picture of it. To me it looks like the glue isn't adhering to the tip...
Clean with 90+% isopropyl alcohol and use gorilla glue gel CA. Do as mentioned about flat surfaces.
