10 best players in the world

I watched Capito's loss to Neuhausen in the European Open to see how he lost. Checked a few other matches, too.

I couldn't find much to fault on his runout patterns. Where he faltered vs Moritz was on pushout decisions - either how he chose to push out himself or whether he chose to play a pushout from the other player.

His safety choices weren't bad, but his execution wasn't as good as Neuhausen. Some players have great touch on safeties. Moritz is one of them. Capito, not as much. The CB leaked off more than it should have, and Neuhausen got cleaner looks than Capito in safety battles.

Moritz did have a few bad plays in both the win over Capito and the win over Hoang. But he really cleaned up his game in the final.

Capito had only one bad mistake in the loss to Neuausen - a straight-in 8 ball he hit too hard to try to gain position. He missed, down 8-7, and that was it.

Neuhausen is like Filler. He takes the shot offered sometimes, even if it is a longer one, instead of taking risks to get closer.
Very well analyzed. Capito, for sure, has the "raw materials" to be a superstar, but neither the touch nor the tactical insights that today's game demands. His fundamentals are among the best in the game, but as we both seem to feel, they just aren't enough if he wants to be counted among the most elite.

Better for me: AVID vs. G-Core or Vikore

Thanks for the replies so far—appreciate it.

Just to clarify, I’m asking about the whole cue, not just the shaft. I get that the shaft is the “business end,” but I think the butt plays a role too.

JPB2 makes a solid point about the Cuetec being more modular. With things like extensions and interchangeable shafts, it seems like the kind of cue you can upgrade over time and grow with as a player. I like that.
