Ok healing shaft in 3/8x10 modified joint

Thanks for all the replies.

There are no cue makers in Panama, but there may be a few people that can widen the inner diameter of the thread.

I’m just beginning to get into carbon shafts and I may be shopping for a few to try them out.

Thinking ahead, wouldn’t it be better just change the joint pin to a regular 3/8x10 pin and forget all this nonsense? It’s one surgery instead of several trips to widen a thread.

What do you guys think?

Cue Prices today, in this economy.

I doubt that.
Just because prices are high doesn't mean that cues are moving.
If you have been around 15-20 years ago in the for sale section, you would know that the market is barely breathing.
What's going on today is that dealers grabs everything fast and many cue maker don't even work directly with customers, only through dealers. These guys hold cues and it may look like the market is thriving, my bet is that a lot of the cues are stashed a way for future sale at even higher prices.
Cue collecting is an old men thing, the young don't take too much interest in this, just give them an SVB cuetec or a Predator and they are good and happy.

I have no idea how the high end, 2nd hand cue market is doing, but I follow Crossroad cues, on his youtube channel, and I really love his channel (really interesting videos that he posts, showing the high end cues that he has for sale, and I love hearing him talk about them, while showing them), and his seemingly genuine enthusiasm for custom cues, but wow, I do not know how people afford the prices that he charges. His cues do seem to sell though, at his asking prices, because he is always buying and selling cues. I check out his website from time to time, and cues I seen for sale in the recent past, are no longer there. Seems to be doing very well. He is seemingly a really nice guy too.
