SJM at 2025 Mosconi Cup: Way too Late Thoughts

This again.

Look, if you can talk him into playing, then go for it. It seems reasonably clear, though, that he isn't interested in playing MR's World Nineball Tour.
He's smart, letting em come to him.
I know he's at least 40 and set in his ways, not the norm for a top flight player.
When you live in IL, it's expensive. There are two police officers in Chicago that play great/good. One of em tho is now retired.

Gun drill?

I seen some comments about gun drills saying things like, they were suckers back when they bought them. They definitely could have been referring to where or who they bought them from. But it has me wondering how necessary they are. Im sure chip extraction and exact cutting diameter is a big reason for them. What else? Guys I know this may be a dumb rookie question to a lot of you so please understand Im looking to you for a lil help. I have spent a ton of money on equipment and somehow this is one tool I don't have. So $200ish is a lot if I can get away with a fraction of that. I am not looking to cut corners, just save where I can. Thanks fellas.

Gun drills allow you to bore out a 12" plus dowel for a core. How do you plan on doing it without the gun drill? or are you asking for an actual alternative?

Why You Choke Easy Shots Under Pressure

Three some
Play that I am favorite . The easy stuff. Giving cheap lessons. The one and two or even quarter fifty, nine ball ring games.

Play that I am expecting to pay for a lesson. My visits to the 211 in Seattle definitely. 🤷‍♂️ I had a budget of well expected to pay more per hour than my day job paid. 🤷‍♂️
Some of my best lessons came playing Portland Slim last pocket 8 ball for 5 a game. He was in his 80s and I in my 30s. (74 now). He would get me down 7 or 8 games and then he started to tire and I could get back to even, learning the whole time. I then paid the time and bought him what he was drinking.

Practice of course.
