I have a spare joint protector, the male portion, that goes into the shaft end, and I think it is a radial. It works fine, but I need the butt and protector as well. It's just a bit difficult for me to identify this single piece that I have as to what type of thread it actually is. Here is a picture of the butt end to identify?

On power shots I raise up higher than usual for the entire process. It tends to free up your stroke.

And yet with the metal plug (not really a ferrule) the front end mass is low enough for it to be probably the shaft with the lowest deflection.
And it’s definitely more durable than the Cynergy soft ferrule

Well maybe other people have tried them and can give some personal incite as to whether they felt a difference. It’s a pool forum ..if we don’t ask questions and have conversations whats the point lol

One difference among the JFlowers CF shafts is SMO's metal vault plate/ferrule. A recent Reddit post showed the metal ferrule and a JFlowers website shows the same thing in only their SMO. I know of no other pool carbon fiber shaft with a metal ferrule (snooker? yes).

The easiest and probably cheapest solution is to visit the reading glasses kiosk at your local drug store and try on pairs of varying strength until you find what sharpens up your vision best at the desired distance. You may want to get two pair: One for seeing at 3-7 feet for pool, and a stronger pair for reading.

Not as cheap, but probably better, is what TN Joe recommends: see an eye professional for a proper refraction geared for near and intermediate distances.

Yes, you can. The insert is a standard. Has been for decades. I think they are trying to cover up a large purchase of shaft inserts that were defective to begin with. After their second 5/16x14 Oversize fit even worse than their standard, they are now asking me to accept a $50 PayPal reimbursement and find a local repair shop to widen the threads. Bullshit. They have not agreed to send a return label and to be reimbursed in full for the defective shaft, which is what it is and is what I did not pay for.I paid for a working shaft and that is what I did not get ! Just stay away from them, folks !

I also have to agree on the wait for a SW cue no I'm not knocking anyone for their choice if that's what they want go for it same with a Tascarella cue for me at my age now I'm more than happy with the pool cues I've got now ,so to each their own !

Besides I've dodged death to many times so I don't want to push my good fortune ha ha !

I'll assume you're a good person because I prefer to assume that about people, but suggest this isn't the best way to deal with personal matters and hope you have friends who can provide support vs. seeking affirmation from strangers on the internet in this way.

If you've got some great and appropriate stories to share, maybe just roll all this back and have at it?
