APA League Question

What you probably did was to qualify for the "Vegas Qualifier", or "World Qualifier" which happens once each year prior to the Team Championships each August in Las Vegas. You probably won the Tri-Cup, or Tri-annual, whatever it's called in your area. And just as you, and the other players on your team, had to achieve a specific number of matches to be eligible for playoffs, including the Tri-Cup, and including the Vegas Qualifier, you need to be on an active roster to qualify for play in any tournaments based upon league play.

Please read, and re-read the above. It's on you, and/or your team captain, to be aware of the rules, and abide by them. This includes whatever local by-laws exist for your league. These rules and by-laws are available to you, and your team members, so read and understand them. Game rules are detailed, but most end up earning about a rule after being burned by it. The Team Manual is available here:
Get familiar with the sections preceding the game rules too. It'll only help you.

When I'm asked for the logic behind some rules or requirements, this is my standard answer. It's the same for all the other leagues to one extent or another. The business model is genius when you view it from that perspective, and they truly do enforce the rules at the higher level competitions, even if your local league matches don't. The benefit of qualifying for the higher level, or advanced tournaments, along with the things that go along with those qualifications, also require your continued participation. They are not "open" tournaments.
I didn’t say it’s a bad business . It’s a great business model and I enjoy it but they act like it’s not.. it’s all about family…it’s not about money . Nooooo you bought this franchise and it puts food on your table and a roof over your head. It’s a business. Stop the nonsense,

You think Filler or Shaw would have missed that shot Styer had just because some US fans were barking? LOL.
Jayson would have been encouraging them to be louder

Personally I think the sort of continuous rising note thing when someone is down on the shot is fine. I think shouting randomly when they are down on the backstroke is more of an issue, that's the kind of thing that makes you flinch and miss a shot. Some idiot shouted Europe just as Mouritz was about to hit the ball on one shot.

Boyles actually said he preferred when it was noisy when he was down on a shot. It's when it goes silent for a big shot that he felt the pressure. I can totally relate to that. My pool claim to fame is I beat Jayson once (was only over a single frame in a team tournament). But it was a hall full of drunken guys, multiple tables everyone watching their own teams match. As my game with Jayson went on, the hall got gradually quieter as people started noticing I had a chance of causing a massive upset. By the time I was on the 8 ball it was complete silence. Made it 100 times more nerve racking

I hate it for the guy,. He has played relatively well in past MC's. You never know what can cause the yips, but the way he played the entire rack until the nineball shows that his stroke is good...Pressure. This is the kind of thing that could potentially stay with him long after this competition.
For sure. Tough not think of a scenario where this does not leave a mark on the poor guys mental game moving forward...

Watching replays on YouTube.

I FRIGGING HATE THE PNK 4 AND THE PURPLE 5!!!!!!!!!!!!

So many racks I am looking at the wrong ball after the 3.

And at one point JJ even said “…to get down table to the four.” Then, clarifies (implicit that it actually needs clarification) with “…the PURPLE five”.

Yes, after a few years of purple fives (having played and watched league last night for four hours with traditionally colored pool balls), I am still p*ssed about it. Grrr.

I need to get over myself.
