Introducing the new Bitman rack 😳

Pagulayan comes in a box of two so it really less than $30 for a piece of chalk…….more like $11-12.

Better yet is Walmart…….they sell TAOM Billiard Chalk……it is the same thing as V10……a slightly
different color but close……applies the same as V10……just as clean and lasts as long…..I bought some.

You can get TAOM Billiard chalk at Walmart for $5 each as a 4 pack purchase……..quite a bit lower than $30
but even so, Pagulayan chalk costs 60% less and I play with all three chalks………great chalk does cost less.

So many tips to choose from.

Tips, shafts, whatever...

No technology from the last 100 years has changed performance.
Meucci shafts and moori tips. Useless.

Everything after has been some version of the same thing.

Just put whatever you want together and bang away.
This is a result of not knowing how to properly use your equipment.... or a lack of ability to properly use it.
Anyone with acquired knowledge and experience can tell the difference between a quality tip and a run of the mill tip. ;)

both frye and takayama got brain injuries iirc. the japanese liked to put big mf's in the ring against proper fighters. bob sapp was another one, he was even bigger than takayama and they put him against nogueira. i don't follow MMA anymore but the early days were very entertaining
Check out post 434, crocop broke Sapp's orbital bone, most of the giant fighters were gimmicks aside from Schilt and Hongman Choi who had their own k1 rivalry, Schilt posts his own funny clips on instagram. Pride worked because MMA had just taken off like a rocket and it was mixed in with rings, pancrase, Japanese pro wrestling, K1, sambo, jiu jitsu and some olympic wrestling/judo medalists. Japan also had an elite boxer and throwing Butterbean and rulon gardner into the mix was just whacky but it worked!

Pennington & Arguello splits top prizes at Appalachian Iron Man event at JOB Billiards

Cody Pennington and Luis Carlos Arguello entered the AZBilliards database for the first time this past weekend (Nov. 29-30). They both went undefeated in their respective Split Brackets of the Appalachian Iron Man tournament that drew 90 entrants to JOB Billiards in Madison, TN. Arguello had the longer trip, having to get by six opponents in the 62-entrant High Side bracket to advance to a Final Four, as his eventual opponent in the finals, Cody Pennington, had to face only four, competing in the 28-entrant High Side bracket. The two met in the hot seat of a Final Four bracket, […]

I think that fight was more scripted than anything but Japanese pro wrestling mixed with early MMA created a very unique circus. Igor, Mirko, Hunt, Fedor, Rampage, Sakuraba etc. so many entertaining fighters but a prime Shogun was terrifying!! The Smashing Machine should've never been turned into a movie but it was The Rock's pet project for a "serious" role, there'd be 10 other Pride fighters that'd make a better movie as well as UFC too!

Mosconi cup SOLUTION

The are making 9-ball more and more like snooker which benefits the technical players (Euros)….
That's just an excuse. All pool games are technical in and of themselves.
When the Americans were dominating, no one complained, instead the rest of the world improved. If American's can't keep up, then we either continue to improve or allow the rest of the world to dominate--the latter, mind you, has been happening for the past decade anyways. We obviously have made our choice. We best go play corn hole or poker at this point.

I don't think the type of cloth, pocket size etc. Is the explanation, that sounds like a cope to me.
The format itself seems broken or alt least needs a rethink.
Look at the level of today's players it has improved considerably the last 15 years or so, simple patterns, the break now the most important shot and lots and f though goes into it from all the players, equipment is also very good and consistent. We should be asking if 9 ball and at least the luck aspects of 9 ball should be removed? The incredibly short races makes it impossible for a match to ebb and flow.
