New Years Resolution

I have a GC4 and Diamond Professional. I cannot make a solid break on either. I struggle to run a rack, I have good-bad days. I'll never amount to anything. I do not compete, play for $$. I quit 100times. I should buy a 3x6 table with 6" pockets. I'm not an Indian, have a lot of arrows.... question is?....does anyone here give a fk?

best cue tip tool

Not trying to be argumentative, but why not just put a hard tip on from the get go. I've never understood why players use soft tips. I've heard all the +s and -s and it don't add up. For solid energy transfer, med hard and up.
Why mute your wand??
Great question. I found that hard tips roll the cue ball faster with slower speed stroking of the cue ball. So for attaining position, especially when it’s newer cloth or a 7’ table, requires me to change my stroke speed too often. I love the ping
sound of a hard tip on ivory ferrules and soft tips produce a entirely different sound. But soft tips give me more control of the cue ball position within 1/2 of a 9’ table. I can use center ball more easily, or with a bit of follow or stop, on cut shots and roll the CB with tighter movement. Stop shots are so easy and miscuing seldom happens. Soft tips can take slight brush application of V10 chalk so much better than a hard tip and doesn’t glaze and seldom needs scuffing for better CB contact or chalk application. It was really helpful selecting and trying different Kamui tip hardness with Shooter08 as my supplier. Tried all of them and ultimately chose Kamui Black Clear Soft as my tip of choice. It’s on all my cues except one. It’s because as long as I keep my cue all original, I can trade it in with Bill Grassley @ Cornerstone Cues for what I paid and get a cue of equal value or pay any difference. The tips on my Prewitt are orig, Moori Brown Medium.

SJM Sizes up 2025 in Pro Pool

Some things I saw in 2025
a)2025 Major Year
2025 was Major Year or the Year of the Major cos it had most majors ever. At the rate it is minting majors, Matchroom/WNT will have more majors than British Army soon.
Total 10 majors for 9B & 10B.
Major sports like tennis, golf only have 4 (Grand Slam).

b)Reversal of fortunes. What goes up comes down and vice versa

To be fair, Gorst did finish strong 2nd WPC, US Open and 3rd China Open and remain high in rankings. But as they say-Major Titles talk, rankings walk.

c)If you are 800+ player, most of success is just showing up.
To rephrase Woody Allen- Just keep showing up, hang in there cos it will be your turn to win a major soon.

Mario He
Oi
Raga
Wu Kun Lin
Skyler
Kazakis

Wishing old folks here, I mean all folks- A healthy and successful 2026 🥳

Anyone know roughly what Savannah Easton makes off her various social media pages?

Thought she/her family/advisors were quite clued up. She became 'front page' - was given a memorable nickname (that is often used instead of her real name) - and they acted quickly to milk it.

No problem with that at all. She comes across well and is a great player.

When that a-hole called her out for the non-call of (an obvious) combo that helped things as well!

So just curious...
