This guy Joao is a POS in my book, sounds like there were around 50 or more side bettors in this fiasco. I cannot believe that someone on this list, or a "friend" has not beaten the crap out of this guy and others involved.
Is money not that important anymore?

UK Open 2026, London, May 26-31

they had one of those video feature clip of some players trying to juggle a football on the lawn outside. some managed 10, some 4, etc. felix vogel just kept kicking and managed to keep the ball in the air 140 kicks. impressive. (my record is 44)
He must just be good at every sport. At the Scottish Open Jayson's dad challenged Felix to a game of darts and he was ridiculously good at that too. They were trying to see who could throw closest to the bullseye and Felix hit the bullseye twice.

Buffalo's 1 Pocket Calcutta $$

That’s not true.

FR has been adjusting my FR, for better or worst, off a very few 1pocket events.

Zero bar or rotation events.

The website specifically says that the rating is based on "the results of 8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball games played on either 9-foot or 7-foot tables."

I mean, if they are counting something (including 8-ball) but failed to update the website... maybe? But I have never heard of anything to contradict the website.

What happened to the old Predator Cues designs? Ikon, Throne, Panthera, Maestro

What happened to the Predator IKON series, Throne series (are the new generations of Ikon & Throne coming soon?) and all those beautiful custom collaboration cues with Jacoby and K. Miki and others?
  • IKON 4-x series
  • Throne 3-x series
  • Panthera by Jacoby
  • Maestro by K. Miki
  • all other limited editions that actually felt collectible
These were straight-up works of art. Ebony, exotic woods, real inlays, classy ringwork, elegant points… cues that actually looked PREMIUM.

The Panthera and Maestro collaborations were insane. Some of those were limited to only ~100 cues and individually numbered.

Now somehow we went from THIS:

…to neon green, orange, purple, esports-looking cues that look like energy drink sponsorship sticks 😭😂

Sold Beautiful Meucci LH-5

Up for grabs is a gorgeous LH-5. One unchalked, original no-dot shaft. Rolls straight together and apart. It is flawless. Because of the build of these rings, they are usually cracked on this cue. Not this one! Not a single crack in either collar. The stamp is vibrant and really pops.
You don't want to miss adding this to your collection!

Buffalo's 1 Pocket Calcutta $$

Got bored and wanted to look back at the payout compared to the costs to buy each player.

Evan Lunda $130k/20k (+$110k)
Fedor Gorst $65/$46 (+$19k)
Justin Hall $40/$17 (+23k)
Tony Chohan $28/$33 (-$5k)
Roland Garcia $17/$16 (+$1k)
Mark Magi $17/$4,500 (+$12,500)
Sky Woodward $11,800/$23 (-$11,200)
Chip Compton $11,800/$9 (+$2,800)

Expensive, and out of the money
Roberto Gomez $37k
John Morra $27k
Francisco Bustamante $13k
Josh Roberts $13k
Billy Thorpe, Devin Poteet, Jonathan Hennessee, $9k each

Conclusion? Making money from a calcutta is some tough action?
nice stats

My conclusion would be: it isn't tough action in the sense thas it's zero sum game. (Players as a group don't lose money.)

Payout is just so top heavy, that only the winner is really profiting from calcutta and all the guys not winning just contribute to his winnings. (So for Lunda to win 110k almost a dozen guys need to lose 10k.)
