I am of the belief, and feeling that when it comes to Carbon fiber shafts, you really get what you pay for. For example, you could get a full CRICAL Carbon Fiber cue for about $120, on Amazon, but I would be shocked if it would be something that I would personally enjoy playing with.

So far, the only CF shaft that I have really loved playing with is the Whyte Carbon, by Triple 60 (and I have tried a few of the other $500 brands, on the market). Very hard to imagine that opinion ever changing, no matter how many CF shafts I would try out.

I have heard that the Rhino hits really nice though, and now they came out with a new version called the MUST, which is around $254 on Amazon. That might be a really nice hitting shaft, but I do not know.

Chohan is probably the gold standard for a 1p specialist. As for point bump, well, he's a 777. Gorst is an 850. Who's better at 1p? By how much? Either way, they are probably reasonably close. Does that mean Chohan is better than his rating, or Gorst is worse?

Hard to say, but I think that it's pretty clear that among the common games (so 8b, 9b, 10b, 1p; although perhaps it's pushing it to call 1p common) the game with the biggest potential variation in player skill relative to their general Fargo rating is 1p.

it means you can basically include anything with a cue involved and argue for its inclusion.

yes, lunda is a specialist, as is josh roberts. justin hall at this point is a non-factor in rotation, but very good at 1p and banks.

he has scoliosis. but he has won two world championships and a US open with that condition, so it likely wasn't that.

to be fair, he arrived some hours before his first match, and hadn't khalid played as good he mightve gotten into some kind of rhythm and it could be a different story. i doubt he has any regrets, he won a boatload of cash at buffalos

Archer was seemingly picking up lint that was not even there, lol. I remember thinking, wtf is he picking at?

Not as noticeable but I had a two piece get very loose. After that I always picked up my cue with two hands, one above, one below the joint. A quick check to make sure the joint was tight.

I might be mistaken but I think at this point if Johnny doesn't see lint he picks up imaginary lint, part of his preshot routine.

Guess he was traumatized. For me I began doing it when a few of my matches had those funny rolls. Not picking on every shot though but it did raise my awareness a lot and became quite sensitive with seeing them. Inspite of having poor eyesight now, I see the lint more frequently which I find funny.

i suspect it was a broken cue sent to someone else to customize it.

mid to later 1960's was his heyday. before he died and had gene leave him. i got the last cue he made and kept it for a long time. sold it to a guy on here years ago.

That is where I was going to buy them, but they are useless to me in DVD or CD format. Was hoping maybe contacting him he had digitized them.
