People like what world champions sells not what those who came 3rd. sell... but I get it, she's a wonderkid and they want to capitalize on it while they can, the trip could be over soon.
Some do it for the achievements and titles, some for the quick buck. The first approach gets you both and it last longer, like Jasmin Ouschan, the second approach usually leads to fast crash and burn.

She is very successful at marketing and selling products and your advice is to not do that. Terrible take as thousands of people are already buying from her even though she only finished 3rd in the World 8 Ball.

Good thing you are not her parents or her career would already be doomed.

Anyone Charge For Table Time On League Night

Our rule here for league or tournament nights - if they are gambling they pay for table time.

The Viper with a decent tip is better than some cues I've used to win small tournaments against strong competition. I wouldn't worry about that.

As far as the swerve and deflection, you have to get used to it. Practice the shots you struggle with and give yourself a years time feel completely confident in it. It may even take less time but be patient with yourself.

Almost all tips mushroom and need reshaping in the begining month or so. Shape it however you want. After that, if you still hate it, just change it to something you like.

I'm not a fan of carbon fiber shafts even after owning and playing with one to give it a fair chance .
My wood shafts aren't smaller than 12.5 mm most are 13 mm or a bit larger .

My suggestion is to set up you're shot and mark where the balls are and practice the shot until you get it figured out , I'd elevate the butt of the cue after chalking the tip very well and a soft shot may just surprise you .
