If all of the odd rules are a factor, maybe any future match ups should just use normal American 8 ball rules- one ball on the spot rather than the 8 ball on the break, dirty combos after the break allowed and shooting forward on frozen balls. Also, call your pocket. I like watching UP matches- especially the shot clock, but I think their rules are mostly stupid and should be changed.

why would anyone want 4 or 41/4 inch pockets on a home table. sure it makes you concentrate on the pocket more. but doesn't make you play better it makes you play worse.

as you dont learn cheating pockets and hard hit positions. hard inside english force follow and others.

unless you are pro speed you just end up missing more and learning bad position habits. and unfortunately develop a weak stroke.

It will be around $299, but much cheaper during launch.

Internet features (live streaming/broadcasting, internet multi-player, community drills) will have a subscription around $15 a month, since data usage costs me.

At one time I shared the same opinion on a pool cue with turquoise incorporated it , until I found one in the " For Sale Site " on here we worked out a deal and I can honestly say its grown on me , will I order another custom cue with it on another cue probably not .

I find it interesting what people like and don't like there's rarely ever a dull moment !

How's the rest of the table look? What's the price? If you want tighter pockets you can have a thicker facing added when the mechanic installs it. It's no big deal. Me personally, I like 5" pockets. But to each his own.

The only way a GC4 would NOT have 5" pockets is if a mechanic installed thicker or more pocket facings, or if a mechanic removed the rubber cushions and replaced them with new ones, and left them longer (which is a big job to do). Hardly any mechanic does that, and it looks like your seller knows zero about pool based on where they have the tape measure. Just based on that picture you can almost guarantee they are 5" factory pockets.

I think the vast majority of your potential customers have no interest in figuring out the projection/camera hardware and installation. At least two of your competitors provide full systems with all the hardware, mostly mounted on the ceiling in a single unit. Projector, camera, and computer.

The very few competitors who offer custom hardware + for live tracking and projection that I've found are meant for B2B. One charges $7k to $10k, and the other charges around $3k I believe, and there isn't much info available otherwise on their sites. One seems defunct.

I have about 10 beta testers now, some are already setup and some aren't. The benefit of "bring your own hardware" is people can find used equipment. You can find a suitable used projector for $100-$300, a new MX brio for $199 or cheaper used, a new mini pc for $450 or cheaper used.

With the software, you could have the whole system for around $1kish. Cheaper if you already have a PC.

Having a custom hardware solution would be great, but that would be a bit down the line. For now, this seems like the best approach.

As far progressive drills, not just yet. But that's like a couple days of work, easily doable. For now, I have standard drills, responding, wagon wheel style drill modes, and snooker/hook drills types.
