Diamond table slate removal

I plan on removing my 9ft diamond pro-am slate (1 piece) so I can install sound dampening material on all the ball return feeds . cant believe diamond wouldnt do this but whatever, any advice? I am not a table mechanic and would have a bunch of people over to help lift and set it down on a surface temporarily while I install it.

Thanks!
My new Diamond is ridiculous loud too. They should do better for the price they charge. I cut a thin nap carpet to fit and slipped it in ball slot at back. Helped a lot.

Hey Doc thanks for all the great work you do in helping the Pool world, your content is always excellent! Under the rules is it a foul if a player bridging over a strip makes contact with the strip and the cue ball at the same time, does that constitute moving two balls?
