Bk2 f!@$!?@*%

I have a BK2 also. Been using it for 3 years with no problems so far but this definitely worries me a little.

I am looking forward to these pics...

Bingo.

Prolly cracked/broke the tenon.

Sorry I had league last night couldn't take pics. I'm going to take pics tonight and e-mail them to predator and hope to god they will stand by this thing. I don't know that they have any obligation to do so though. I have been a supporter of their products and have purchased 4 shafts to date.

Back when Shane S worked for them he replaced my 314 shaft at NC when the ferrule cracked. It helped that he was very active on the message boards at the time.

Good luck and let us know what they do.........Paul

I most certainly will.

<--- holding my breath.

The butt side of the joint is stainless steel - the shaft side is phenolic.

Not to get too far off topic, but the butt side of the joint on my BK2 looks like it's completely phenolic, except of course for the pin.

MitchAlsup...When you look at the number of poolplayers, over the last 3-4 decades, who have played with and broke with the same cue, there will be very few who experienced something like Dawg did. There will always be a microscopic percentage of cues that have some flaw in them (like Dawg's must have...even though it took a long time to show up). Overall, like Jay said, there's nothing wrong with breaking with your playing cue(s), and MOST will suffer no damage.

Note: I was not complaining about being lambasted, but noting the inconsistencies between one saying no damage will happen and the occurance of actual damage happenng.

I don't know that they are obligated to do that, but Im hoping...

Does anyone have some e-mail addresses for the guys at Predator?

i hope they fix it for you man. the address should be on their website. you might want to call first and see if they'll cover it. otherwise it might just be easier to buy another one.

you really played with that phenolic tip? was it any harder for you to spin the CB? what about the little touch shots where you have to kill the cb was it easier for you?

I know it sounds odd. but yes, I played with that phenolic tip. Very well. (for me) No, it wasnt difficult for me to delivery english. Truckloads of it if thats what was called for. Full table draws, no problem. 3-4 rail shape, no problem. I did have quite a few people watch me play or play against me and say "your not supposed to be able to do that with that kind of tip". That's not pounding my chest or anything, it just felt natural to me. Problem is now that I switched back to leather I'm delivering rediculos spin on the CB and I've got to mentally re-program everything. Not to mention having to re-program my sensory response/muscle memory functions as I had them tied to the "click" of that tip and the feedback of that shaft... the Itsy bitsy short baby touch shots were the only thing that was more challenging for me using phenolic vs. leather. But those are far and very few between because rather than shooting that baby touch in most cases I could stroke the ball a little harder and get multi rail shape.. same result, different execution. But yes, when faced with those it was difficult to hit the ball baby soft.

predator has one of those feedback forms on the site no e-mail addresses listed and you can't attach files to it (pics) does anyone know directly who I might speak with?
