Very nice 4 point scruggs with 3 shafts.......Radial pin/Ivory joint(has small bubble in the ivory, Tim said he remembered it and nothing could be done but its small and dosent affect anything, couldnt even get it in the pic, really dont notice it, have to get the light to hit it a certain way to see it) blk collar around joint/shafts with white rings and maple dashes, 4 cocco points into a AMAZING piece of BEM(some of the pics it didnt show good, but a few when the light was deem it really showed, its one of the best pieces i have seen), 4 veners(blk, red, purple, blk) blk leather wrap done by Tim, cocco butt with ivory buska ring and blk cap. Cue is in great cond, has 2 small nicks about about .25 of a finger nail long, and 2 more that are about the size of a pin *****, cant see any of them unless the light hits a certain way, but there there. Cue has 3 shafts all with TS joint protectors. One shaft is a full shaft(13mm or VERY close) others are 12.5 All have ivory ferrells and layered tips. One is very blue and the others are lightly played. The ivory in them has some amazing grain! Cue also comes with a new GTF lizard skin case, 1x2. This cue is a real player and looker, all the ivory in it, joint, ring, ferrells has awsome grain you will have to see to appreciate! Thanks for looking. Pics below.....

Hey Chris/cueman86...

I rec'd the cue and case...I am REALLY disappointed and confused.

I sent you a pm and you have yet to respond since Monday so I am posting my questions here...

Shipping - you agreed to overnight the cue but you actually shipped it 2nd day air....I can deal with that. but thats 1

packing --- is this really how you would ship a new leather case/with cue inside(extra weight of the cue will cause it to rub even more)? NOT even wrapped once in newspaper???

next is the GTF case..which you state is new. This is not as new in my opinion...Does this really look new to you? This damage did not happen in shipping in my opinion as that part of the case was facing the shaft in the tube. I also thought that these came with a key but I could be wrong there...Also, this shipping tube has been used before, which is completely fine with me-I do it also....just stating that so we don't go down the path of that it has been opened and resealed...

Next are the shafts...From your PM I quote "And yes the cue is straight all together, maybe a tapper roll you could fit a human hair under on a couple of the shafts, thats all!" and you quote the shafts as one at 13mm/close and the others at 12.5mm.

This is what I rec'd - measurements taken with Starrett digital caliper, model 721.

1- 11.80mm with a decent amount of taper wobble - playable at best
2- 12.05mm straight
3- 12.90mm with major wobble/long wave - basically a junker shaft, IMO.

To his credit- the joint bubble is as he described and is fine. The condition of the butt is as described also. Nice leather and the points/veneers are a lot better in person.

I hope you understand where I am coming from. Yes it was a great price on the set and had many ready to pull the trigger on the sale...but now that price doesn't seem as good a deal as it was advertised...because I have a great TS cue butt with one 12mm shaft and a damaged case which is a complete shame as I was looking forward to having a keeper of a GTF case. Btw, nice work JB...

Thanks for looking - feel free to share your thoughts if you have something constructive to say about this...

Impressive ... what can I say ! Nice description for the case ... it actually looks new !

Absolutely unbelievable!!

Anyone who would pack a Scruggs cue and GTF case like that for shipping obviously has no respect for other people or the equipment of the game.

Cueman86 is now on my list of AZers whom I'll never buy anything from. Pretty sad to ruin one's rep to save a couple bucks on shipping...

The shipping tube had no cap on it? Just two pieces of tape?

I agree that the gouge in the case wasn't caused by shipping. It was there when it went inot the box. But, i am also sure that there are many other small scuffs on the "new" case caused by the horrible packing.

The shafts description is unacceptable. If you don't have calipers, borrow some.

G/l on resolving this brian.

To those that with say "you deserve this" or "karma is a *****" grow up. Brian has been around cues along time, and has made some mistakes, but deserves teh chance to build his reputation back up.

P.s. Brian, i read your signature line, and in most cases that is true, but not when your selling things, and your rep is all you have for people to go on.

Just terrible... U could hand bubble wrap and duct tape to a 10 yr old and they'd do a better job.

UPON further inspection --

2 hairline cracks in the ferrule on the 11.8mm blued/played shaft...they are pretty obvious to boot...

btw, I had to manipulate the image to get the cracks/bubbles to show up...

Brian, back off for now until he replies.......

Get your refund, be done with it.

How did you pay?

Hey guys i tell you i have done a deal with cueman 86 before no problems and i know sometimes hes not on for long if at all
He is a good guy in my experience

those pictures of the tube look really familiar to me.
I recently sold a Frey sneaky, which was cosmetically in pristine condition, and shipped it via UPS ground, insured.
The tube I used was not new either, however I did wrap the butt and shafts securely in bubble wrap. UPS did the sealing of the tube and sent it off.
Anyways it arrived at the buyers house looking like that first photo you posted, and somehow the butt had been all scuffed up and somehow come out of the bubble wrap in transit.
They buyer requested a refund and I agreed, sending him back all his money and proceeded to file my claim with UPS.
Those motherf**krs denied my claim based on the fact that the tube showed up with only one cap (no Sh*t, it came off during shipping!) and that the tube was not new and purchased from UPS.
what a bunch of bs!
The damage to the case could have occurred during shipping, but the shafts condition not being disclosed is not acceptable. either way, you should see what he says and if you want to return the cue for a refund, he should oblige.
I know how it feels to be on both ends of a deal like this and either way it just sucks big fat dills!
good luck to you guys working it out.
