I always wondered how Joey A. improved so much, so fast. Today by accident I found out.
I entered the pool hall and was walking up to Joey, he did not see me coming but as I got close to him his phone rang and he picked it up.
Next thing I know he's placing balls and shooting and talking 300 miles an hour. Still does not see me. Keeps talking and shooting shots over and over, but most of all, he's making everything. Finally I hear him say, We'll Mr. Villalpando I've got it now. Pool lessons by PHONE from none other than Mr. Joe Villalpando. Now I know how his game improved so much.
I was going to challenge him for Best in Louisiana, but cannot do that now. It won't be long before I do challenge him but I have to get some Jellybeans so I can add minutes to my phone and call Joe. I need alot of help. Casey
 
I knew it !!!!

I been thinking a long time now that sumthin just aint right...In pool your skills are suppose to go down a lil with age...But with Joey it's like he's on pool viagra...lol

Most people after they have played for decades aren't still devoted to learning all that they can and constantly trying new equipment and techniques. Joey never quits searching for a better way and he grinds out the hours practicing.

Dick Clark's title may be in danger, Joey may be the world's oldest teenager. He pursues improvement with the enthusiasm of a kid. Aside from that he is pretty danged smart, has a very nice stroke, and still has the eyes of a fighter pilot.

I agree Troy. Every time I see him his stick it's horizontal. Must be that V stuff.

I don't hit the tourney trail like I use to but I might make a cameo to yours more so than the 1 here...with work n all my play time is always a spur of the moment thing...lol
 
Why that sneaky little .....

If there's one thing I hate, it's people who improve while my game stays at the same level.

Come on, Joey, give the rest of us a chance.
 
He's so full of it!

He had the nerve to tell me the other day that he was "lucky" to finish in the money in the DCC 9 Ball event earlier this year. :rolleyes:
 
DAMN!!! How is Joey ever supposed to trap Jay up if y'all keep knockin his action!!!

Joey, is a Yankee going to have to give these southern boys a lesson on not dropping the hammer???
 
I NEVER practice and rarely hit balls on my table at home. I can't remember my last pool game, not even sure if it was this year or last. But if Joy Boy agrees to play me some Banks, I will send him home to mama crying. :D

I played well for 25 years, then quit, so I could be a Dad & an Engineer for BOEING, 6 days a week. Started up again after I retired. When I quit, there wasn't much help out there, now I have a lot of help (books, videos & teachers) .... it made a big difference. gaining knowledge is real way to advance one's game...

JAY. You better bring alot of Jellybeans, Joey don't play cheap. Banks is his middle name, and he does not CRY. Does POUT a little. Don't think he will give you a spot. JMO

If I bring Gary you gonna go in the hole...Have you ever seen that kid eat ?...He has to have a tape worm...Everytime I put him in action I'm running get him food....swears he's starving every 2 or 3 hours...lol..If I ate as much as him i'd blow up over 300 lbs.

No Problem, He will be the new Favorite in the Tournament. Offer still stands whether he comes with or without you. Hell, He's got a burger also. You're right I could go broke. 31 spots left..
