well, barring a miracle or a complete hatchet job by Cink, Watson isn't going to win, but for 4 days he did what couldn't be done and won't ever be done again, imo. I stayed glued to the tv over the last 4 days and have pulled my hardest for anyone ever, and I watch basically every tournament and every second of the majors.

It's over. He blew it on the 18th. A great story but not a monumental one now. If he had won, it would be the sports story of the century.
The look of pain on his face at 18 was a timeless expression. He is still a great champion.

I can't remember pulling harder for someone to win than I did today. I was so deflated when he blew the first by on 18, I knew he was gonna miss the comebacker. When it went to a playoff it was a foregone conclusion.....he was outta steam and emotionally spent.
I got to hand it to the old guy, he showed the world that the game isn't so different now than it was 30 years ago. People are so quick to say that the players of old couldn't hang with the guys today but......the old player of old had a run at them this week.
