I Can't Afford a Justis Case

instrokes are good. and theyre not expensive. Maybe a whitten theyre cheaper than justis but almost as good.

I definitely recommend a J Flowers tribute case from John Barton. They look great and provide great protection. You can read a review I posted of mine earlier or others have as well.

Call Mike at Omega Billiards 1-817-232-4494. Tell him I sent ya. He'll fix you up with a nice affordable case.

Omega also seems to have a decent selection of Justis West cases. These look like the originals, but are a bit cheaper. They look real nice and are about $400 for a nice 2x4.

Id go with a J Flowers tribute case....they offer the protection your cues need and look good........to me the Justis cases are nice looking, but dont protect your cues as well

I recommend this case as well. Super protection and well built.

Used 2X4 Whitten w/Pouch

can you all recommend a good leather 2x4 case to carry my cues in?

I have a grey leather 2X4 Whitten w/Pouch I will sell for $275. It has some minor scuffs and the zipper has been repaired but otherwise is in good condition. Let me know if you are interested and I will post photo's tommorow evening.

Thanks

Wedge

You might think about an OnQ case. Garth Bair, a member here, makes a lot of case for a very reasonable price!

Months ago, John Barton pitched a 4x8 case from Sterling for $100. I have Georges and a Jack Justice Pro-Lite and I did buy it for storgae but if I needed a case for everyday use, it would be this case. PM JB Cases, he will do you right.

Alternative cases?

Although it's not leather, how about a nice Andy Boy or Ocean Mist case? You can combine a couple of them together, and it will securely hold your cue (or cues). They also come in nice colors, like the fuchsia-/magenta-colored one here, and are easily personalized with a Sharpie marker:

Thanks guys, I think I have a feel for what I am looking for. Wedge don't worry about your case, I'll probably be ordering it sometime at the end to the middle of next month.

Thanks all.

Do you have first hand knowledge of a cue that was damaged in one of our cases?

I would be willing to bet you have never owned or closely inspected one of our cases. We have been in the business for 20 years and have yet to experience the first damaged cue due to lack of protection from the case.

I am curious to know how you can make such a bold statement without hard facts to back it up. Saying John Collins told me so does not count as an answer.

tap, tap, tap, I hear this argument all the time "well this case protects better than that case" but have yet to hear of someones cue getting damaged in a reputable case. Unless you plan on dropping it out of an airplane than just about any case out there will protect it sufficiently.

my everyday case is a 3x6 justis and i have never had any issues carrying any of my cues. i have had many types of cases and i settled on the justis. good luck.

Justis

I loved my Justis case. I put some high dollar equipment in it and never had an issue. I sold mine because a friend wanted it and offered a fair price. I would love to own another one day. Half the fun is designing it. The other half is enjoying it as a workhorse---they look better with use.

Reasoning of me not wanting to spend a fortune on a case:

1.) I'm a broke a$$ college student
2.) My case will get scuffed up, scratches and etc from its' environment (Doing its job, to protect my cues from getting scuffed, scratched and etc), so, I would hate to see a master piece leather case get scratched and destroyed.

My piece: get the best cheapest case I can afford, that way, even if it gets scratched and other beauty marks on it, I won't feel like flesh was ripping from my bones.

I will go with a Sterling Classic Hard Case I have right now, over and over again. Nothing fancy, holds and protects the cue very well, and has adequate space and pouches to hold almost anything you need to bring along with you. The only thing missing is a place to hold your beer/drinks lol
